Chopped Leaf — Restaurant in Calgary

This place is amazing. I grabbed lunch here with my husband en route to YYC from Banff and I am so happy we did.

FOOD: The menu is interesting and varied, with bowls, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. There were so many great options - I had a difficult time picking! We both ended up getting salads with chicken. Our salads were fresh, delicious, and generous in portion. The chicken, which is often an afterthought in salads, was grilled and flavorful. I'm picky about my salads and too often get salads with ingredients that just aren't fresh enough. None of that here. I told my husband that if we had this where we live in California, I would be a regular! This is so much better than the pricey alternatives we have in our neighborhood.

SERVICE: We dined in and was surprised when we were served with real bowls and silverware. Given the prices, we were expecting a fast food meal. The staff member working was helpful in describing menu items and checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was just right. I was already impressed with their service (and totally embarrassed I didn't tip more than I did once we were served). But the next part blows me away. Unfortunately, I left my purse in the restaurant that day and discovered it after I had boarded my flight back home. I called the restaurant and they confirmed they found it. Since then, I've been working with the store manager to get my purse shipped out to me. It's not an easy process since it's an international shipment that requires custom forms. Matthew, the store manager, has been so patient in working with me to make sure I get my bag back. I offered to pay for the trouble but he said there was no need.

We need more businesses and restaurants like this. Calgarians - I am jealous! Please open a location in the San...

My review reflects an overall rating of the experience I would give the staff a 5 out of 5 for their lovely smile and a friendly demeanor. so they don't really chat much but then again they're probably really busy there was a few people in there and what can you actually say. Upon actually writing this you can say a lot you can make a little bit of conversation. I know this because I was knocked out and I experienced this myself especially in bigger cities throughout Canada.

the food in terms of taste pretty darn good to give it a 4-2-5 the food in terms of presentation give it another four out of five. In terms of overall critical mass and volume for $8.75 I got a spicy chicken sandwich and it was sad. like no chicken in there. I'm definitely not full am not satisfied and maybe that's the whole point maybe it's super healthy because you eat less cuz they give you less but I just not for me so might be for you so go give it a try but for me I didn't like it so much.

On a side note my friend absolutely loved it she didn't complain...

I like eating vegetables (don't ask me why, I just like the way it tastes) and this is basically a good way to eat healthy. If you want to add a bit of protein, you can do that too. This place is great. I'm glad it's close to my house. I went in and all the workers were laughing and smiling then they were amazing with my order and it was super quick and delicious. I love seeing a team that everyone is happy in. But they knew customers came first so they’d stop and help and make sure I was okay and then they’d be laughing....
