For a worker’s friends and family to defend her poor actions by leaving artificial reviews is disappointing and just further shows her lack of integrity, and how she completely fails to take any accountability or responsibility for her actions. Tonight at approx 9:20, I went in to the store to grab some drinks, our order was 4 drinks and came to a total of $27.
I had a $20 gift card and planned to pay the difference on my debit card. The cashier (filipino, short, winged eyeliner), told me that I couldn’t pay the remaining balance on my card, and couldn’t use my gift card, and in a rude, irritated tone said to her coworker “we have a big order.”
As someone who works at a bubble tea store myself, I’ve never heard of an establishment where you weren’t able to use a gift card, and then pay the remaining balance afterwards in cash or card. Also, I’m not sure why you are complaining over making only a 4-drink order, let alone complain in front of customers. This behaviour is unacceptable and incredibly rude and lazy.
Additionally, while waiting for my drinks, I overheard another worker say she “messed up” making a different order, and this same cashier with the poor attitude responded and told her “it’s fine just make it as a latte.” That sort of behaviour shouldn’t be tolerated. If a staff member messes up a drink, it is common sense and is expected that they should remake it properly, and not be lazy and cut corners, making the customers drink incorrectly.
We are really disappointed in the bad attitude, lack of care, and horrible experience tonight. Clearly this particular staff member wasn’t trained to handle gift card transactions and instead of asking for help, just refused service. How lazy honestly. Please properly train your...
Read moreAbsolutely love ❤️ this Coco location in the Shawnessy area of Calgary! The staff are super friendly and accommodating. My husband and adult kids love everything on the menu but unfortunately I only drink the grapefruit green tea GGT (without the jelly) but I like to add some lemon 🍋 juice and lemon slices to my GGT as I love sour drinks. When I first asked for this I was advised that they could not guarantee the taste as it’s not a regular thing on their menu but I was willing to take the risk. They kindly made my drink and it was fabulous and I thoroughly enjoyed it and have come back to get it repeatedly .. sometimes even buying two drinks at a time!! I’ve gone to another Coco location while I was in Edmonton and one in Burnaby BC as I’m from BC and both locations absolutely refused to make the drink for me even when I offered to pay for the lemon juice+slices so I did not purchase from them and they did not gain a faithful returning customer. I do not believe my request is that unreasonable nor difficult. Our daughter lives in Calgary and I’ve returned numerous times now to this location and happily support this business and the friendly HELPFUL staff!! This location is definitely worth the trip!...

Me and family approached to do a lineup , no other customers infront or back but the lady just promptly said, " Sorry just a moment then proceeded to talk to her co worker (maybe she's training him ) so I stepped back. She then asked my order after a minute or so.
But on how she said it was the one that's rude for me. No smile at all and like we were there as an inconvenience.. when she saw how my face changed from a smile to a serious one then she asked for our order. While i was ordering the 1st drink , she asked if I like pearls with it. I then asked her back whether it comes with it and she said no. This is a new drink I'd like to try so I said Id like to try the original recipe. Maybe it's best she asked the question after I'm done saying my orders?
The one she's training tho is way nicer as well as the ones who prepped my order, as it was prompt and he SMILED! Thus the 3 🌟 thanks for saving the day to the 2 guys.
