Deepak’s Dhaba Indian — Restaurant in Calgary

Had the Vindaloo & butter chicken. Flavouring is tops. Vindaloo so so tasty, and only mild - medium spicy.

BC was for someone else who loves it. Not really my favourite Indian dish, yet this tastes great.

Service could be a bit better. They're not big on smiles here, but hey you're here for the food.

Which brings me to my concern...only 4 small beef pieces* in my Vindaloo!! BC also small portions What?!! Ridiculously small portion size, despite the blast of flavours.

I would not recommend this unless they increase the meat portions. Worth trying for the flavours...unless you're actually hungry.

The potential is there, Deepak, but you've lost...

Unsure of what I wanted for dinner, I stopped for a sample of coconut cauliflower which easily made up my mind!

I went for the 2 curry option, picking the cauliflower mentioned above and butter chicken. It came over yellow basmati rice and I ordered a side naan bread.

The coconut cauliflower had so much flavour packed into it and the butter chicken had a creamy sauce with warm spices. The naan bread was made to order, buttery and super airy.
