The summary here is that the Customer Service is terrible. On multiple occasions I have submitted an online order, and have left my house when the online tracker says "ready for pickup". In each of those occasions, I have arrived 5-10 minutes past my pick up time, and found out that my order hasn't been started. Either due to someone forgetting to start it (an actual response I received) or it was very busy (with me being the only customer waiting). In these occasions, I have had to stand in the store for 10+ minutes while they start my order from scratch. Either the online tracker is completely inaccurate, or the staff is careless.
Most recently, I came in to pick up my order (this time 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up and online confirmation to be safe), and was the only customer in the store. After being ignored by the staff for a minute or two, they took my name, and proceeded to continue working on other things. Unpacking and stacking boxes, using the computer, chatting to each other about other orders. After about 5 minutes I had to interrupt to remind them that I was there to pick up my order. One of the staff reached back to get my order that was sitting there the entire time, handed it to me and went back to their business. Again, I was the only person there, aside from the 2 staff. This wasn't during a dinner rush, or with multiple people waiting in line. Just me, standing there while the staff ignored me after taking my name, giving me the opportunity to watch them chat and prepare stacks and stacks of boxes.
This was the last time I would visit this location. Between this event, and every other time I've been there, the common experience I've had is that the staff is rude and inattentive. I can understand mistakes on orders, those kinds of things happen, but awful customer service is the only reason I would avoid this location.
UPDATE: I wanted to quickly update to further emphasize the poor customer service here - I reached out as requested in the response below (sent the full context, the previous email I had sent to the District Manager) no response. I suspect the Google review response is an empty gesture to make it seem like they're...
Read moreI don’t understand how there can be such a big difference between one Domino’s location and another. Near Dover, I normally call in and order the large 4-topping walk-in special for $16.99, plus the extra cost for two additional toppings — extra cheese and black olives. My pizza from that location is always delicious and looks great.
However, today I ordered online instead, choosing the 7-topping pizza deal for $21. I was truly disappointed with what I received from this location.
I don’t eat any other pizza but Domino’s, and I always order the same combination, so I know exactly what my pizza should look and taste like. They claimed this was a “normal” pizza, but it looked nothing like what I usually get. The dough had risen with large air pockets, the toppings were extremely sparse — I could only see one or two pieces of bacon, barely any donair meat, and maybe a single piece of green pepper.
When I walked in and asked if that was a normal-looking pizza, they said yes. I told them I wasn’t happy with it and even mentioned that I could order the same pizza from another location to show the difference. They gave me the impression they were going to remake it, so I went to my vehicle and waited about 15 minutes. When I went back in, there was no pizza ready. They then said they thought I didn’t want it — even though I had already paid.
By that point, more than an hour and a half had gone by since I placed my order online. I ended up being refunded $21, even though with tax my total was over $23, and I was handed back the original pizza — cold — with the suggestion that I didn’t really want it remade.
I’m honestly blown away. I lived around the corner for six years and have always ordered exclusively from Domino’s. I don’t know what has changed, but the Forest Lawn location is hands down the best Domino’s I’ve ever ordered from. Their toppings are always generous, and when you ask for seven toppings, you can...
Read moreI decided to give Domino's another chance, after 15 years of not eating it. I have ordered it 4 times in the last few months and I have been forced to conclude that Domino's doesn't want me as a customer.
3 out of the 4 times my order was wrong. The customer service has ranged from sleepwalking to abysmal, and the order has never been ready when the app says "Ready to Pick Up".
The last time I ordered from Domino's they made sure that it was the absolute last time I ever ordered Domino's. Multiple ingredients weren't available, fine, I understand. But, I waited 20 minutes in the store for the order, after the app said it was ready. At that point I asked if anything was wrong with the order, the worker says nothing and gets the order from the shelf. So, I ask him, has the order been ready the whole time? (I saw them put that order on the shelf 10-15 minutes prior) He lies to me and says it just finished. He absolutely knew that I knew it was a lie, but he just didn't care at all. He watched me sitting there for so long and didn't think to check on the order even once. And, even if it was just prepared before I asked, why didn't he tell me it was ready?... Why would I ever go back? Why would anyone order from a business like this?
I understand that the workers are generally young and couldn't care less about their job, but at least be honest and show some self respect.
Whatever money you think you're saving by ordering from Domino's, you'll be paying extra for in frustration and the disrespect you'll receive in return. It's almost like they found a way to collect and monetize customer frustration, because they seem to be manufacturing it at every opportunity.
You win, Domino's! I won't order there again, because that's clearly...
