Dragon Gate — Restaurant in Calgary

Ordered from them last night and it was worse than horrible. We were excited to see this restaurant on STD again and ordered expecting the good food we remember. Unfortunately this was not the case. Even the rice was tasteless and looked bland. The lemon chicken was a reheated blob of gooey coating with flavourless sauce. Funny enough it was garnished with little slices of lemon but that didn't help. The ginger beef must have been cooked last year and used as tire patches as it was inedible. The ginger chicken was a mixture of old reheated tough chicken and newly heated but tasteless chicken. The chicken chop suey was OK but we only got half a container. So sad that this place is choosing to unload its freezers on us unsuspecting customers. Save your money and AVOID this place...

We decided to try this restaurant out based on the good reviews. So, we went there for their lunch buffet which is from 11:00-2:30, we showed up at 1:00. There was 3 tables of people when we arrived. Almost all the trays of food were empty and the ones that did have food were too tough to eat, like the chicken wings, they were too tough to even bite. The waitress said that if there were any dishes she wanted us to replace, just let her know! So, I told her we would like more lemon chicken and she brought out enough for a few people, they didn't even fill the whole tray up. I will give them this much, the lemon chicken was delicious..but that was the only good thing about it. I did mention to them that a buffet should be full at all times, but they just said,...

Out of all the Chinese food places I have eaten at in Calgary I would have to give this place the worst. You walk in and no greetings while 4 workers are looking at you and doing nothing. You have one lady eating noodles over the register, another girl just sitting on the floor playing games and a guy walking around with a straight look on his face. The buffet was absolutely disgusting. Nothing was fresh. You could tell just by looking at the food that it had been sitting for quite Awhile. Made the biggest mistake by staying. Should of left. I’m never going again. Lots of other places in Calgary with better service and quality of food. I can’t believe this place is still...
