Five Guys — Restaurant in Calgary

Ordered over $100 of food through skip and waited for deliver.... and waited.... and waited.... for an hour and 15 minutes.

When we had finally realized that the food was not going to be on-time as the SKIP driver proceeded to the east side of McLeod to obviously pick up another deliver, and then stop on the way to our house to pick up ANOTHER delivery... I gave Five Guys a call to inquire about what was going on.

Well was I ever surprized when I received the best customer service I ever have in the past 5 years at least. Answered the phone and even though a SKIP delivery issue isn't their problem after it gets picked up(Was picked up 30 min prior and we live 10 min from the restaurant) the employee was very helpful in resolving the issue.

The employee called the CR for SKIP, got me a full refund, and even offered to make my order for me again for no charge and throw some milkshakes in as an apology. Let me be clear, when you order from SKIP or UBER EATS the restaurants involvement and requirement to help ends at their door.

I recently visited Five Guys Shawnessy and was blown away by the exceptional customer service provided by one of their employees, Victor. From the moment I walked in, Victor greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome as a customer.

Throughout my visit, Victor was attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in ensuring that I had a great experience. He patiently answered my questions and provided me with recommendations on the menu items, which was incredibly helpful. I was impressed by how knowledgeable he was about the different options, and his enthusiasm for the food was contagious.

Now let's talk about the food. Five Guys Shawnessy's burgers were absolutely delicious. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The toppings were fresh and abundant, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned.

Overall, my experience at Five Guys Shawnessy was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding customer service provided by Victor. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great burger experience, and make sure to say hi to Victor when...

I love the food, and usually the staff are super nice, but my past couple of visits to this location haven’t been great.

Last time, I called ahead to order, and when I got there, my order was nowhere to be found. After going outside to get my phone to check the order, I then had to wait in line again before placing it (not a big deal, but not great). After that it took about 10 minutes to make my food and after receiving it I waited another 5 minutes for my milkshake that was forgotten. In total was there for about 20 minutes for an order that I had called ahead with.

I’ve noticed for a while that their phone isn’t great, you can barely hear the staff when they answer. I’m sure it’s more frustrating for them than me.

Heads up, tonight their phone wasn’t working at all. Tried to call a bunch of times. Drove there, ordered, unfortunately their milkshake machine was out of order and my side of cajun spice and wasn’t in my order.

Again, food is great, staff is kind, but given that the 130th location is only a bit further from me, I’ll probably go there...
