Friend's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Calgary

We ordered 2x meat lover Calzones, tortellini with ricotta & spinach pasta, jalapeño poppers and got a free small pepperoni pizza.

The Calzones were folded pizzas with little sauce and too much dough, they were made like a pan pizza and were a bit greasy on the exterior. The pasta had a foul smell, was some meat and not what was ordered. We weren’t able to eat much at all and I regret eating the little that I did. The jalapeño poppers were ok and my wife didn’t mind them. Luckily we had a small pizza that was half decent given away for Halloween.

Years ago with previous ownership or management the pizza was decent, pasta was good and their wings were baked and as good as papa Johns and Boston pizza baked wings. When I asked if I got the wrong wings They said they changed from fresh to frozen wings due to their supplier. I was told they still bake them but they seem to be deep fried based on the way they are now.

Unfortunately was not impressed with the food and have seen an aggressive decline in quality and how edible...

I'm sure the food is good but 0 customers service skills, Very rude to the delivery service personnel.

-Walk in for pick up The lady rudely ask me, what do you want.(rudely) -it's for pick up Proceeded to walk away from me. Walks back, are you ready to order?(with attitude still) -it's for pick up. Turn around, gets the order, throw it on the front desk, then tells at me dont accept orders if your not ready and walks away.

Now as a Dasher I found it really rude, I try to tell her I have a pick up time, and its not even up yet, so I just declined there service.

-Just so you merchant know, that timer is there for you to get the order ready, if we walk in before not only we are exposed but we wit 10-20min inside and you dont even let us know, "hey, sorry it's a 5min wait or 10min w.e" just so we are updated and also let the actual customer know as well.

You wouldn't do it to a costumer, we represent them. Why do it to us, I should have filmed...

This pizza & pasta restaurant did not disappoint!! Their vegan pasta is so so so GOOD!

Vegan pasta is really hard to come by, but this family owned restaurant has successfully mastered the art of making authentic Italian vegan pasta. Although this is not a vegan restaurant, they have a very large vegan menu, which also includes vegan pizza, sides, cheesecake, and vegan icecream from Terry.

I had their asparagus ravioli in a vegetable rose sauce while my husband had their vegan chick'n lasagna in a garlic cream sauce. The flavor in both dishes was outstanding & absolutely delicious 😋 I ate my entire container 😅 We even grabbed a pint of vegan icecream to take home.
