Gally's Neighbourhood Pub — Restaurant in Calgary

The only reason i gave 2 stars is because the regular staff are great and the food is to. However today my family has been coming to this location for the past 25+ years and had the unpleasent exspirence of haveing the owner a asian lady searve us. She was rude and ruined my experience for this location. She made a problem about us takeing are food to go to start so we had to stay and eat some of are food to take it to go. She wouldnt let the staff searve us or make are drinks it allmost seemed the staff had to seek her unnesisary approval on makeing drinks ect. She made the worst ceaser iev ever had then refuse to let the staff make a proper one and instead of remaking it she wattered it down. She snaped at us when i went to ask her to order another drink assuming i was going to ask about the food by stateing in a rude agressive tone ITS COMEING.then came back with one drink stateing you seriously wanted 2.? When asked for our food to go she put our left over wings of two diffrent flavours into one small box and threw out the ones that wouldnt fit. Friendly staff . Cosy, nostalgic, feel with a darts board and, what appears to be, a regulation scoring tally. 5 or so slots..Classics, like 5 Fruit, and newer games on a couple of machines. ATM in bar cozy neighbourhood atmosphere good comfortable Very tasty and filling boneless dry ribs.. Loved the pricing.Very reasonable. Lanny MacDonald., as the Flames young Star who endeared himself to Calgarians as a Hockey commodity who truly loved the city he fought for on the ice; celebrated in photgraph on one of the sports bar tables. Reminded me of seeing him by chance with wife Arlene(?) It's a way to experience music you might never have heard of, left to your own devices, a different way to learn about new artists. Not sure we will come back. We went to this pub based on the reviews and while the food was fantastic the service was not! We got our drink order right away, food came pretty quick as well (although she served our appetizers and our meals at the same time). Both our drinks we almost gone by the time she served us our food but she had put the plates down on our table and left as quickly as she could (we didn't even get a chance to ask her for anything else). We did not see her again until we were practically done our meals, that is when she asked if there was anything else she could get for us. We both got waters, had she bothered to ask us when she put our food down we would have ordered more drinks. When she cleared our plate she asked if we wanted anything else we said no we were done. We sat at our table for 20 minutes with nothing but our waters on the table before we got our bill. It was a disappointing experience considering the majority of the reviews...
