I don't buy chicken from KFC too often only when I have cravings which is rare. I've read and heard horror stories about this location.
First of, for those reading this - ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE, especially for this location. Check if it's all there. Check for freshness. Check that all chicken is accounted for (if you ordered 10 piece bucket, check!) Check if they gave you exactly what you ordered.
Today, I went to pick my online order which I placed in the morning for a later pick up. My pick up time was 3pm. I arrived right at 3pm, hopeful, that my order was packed and ready to go. I guess I was too hopeful. It wasn't too busy and I didn't see any skip the dishes or uber eats waiting either. There were 1 person ahead of me. So as I waited for a good 10 mins to get my order. One of my order was a 6 piece standard bucket of chicken (mix white/dark meat). I did a quick check to make sure I had all my orders but didn't bother looking to check my chicken.
I got home and with a very hungry young son, we unpacked everything and lo' and behold, we got all dark meat. My family loves white meat and some likes dark so the standard bucket is perfect for us.
I called the branch multiple times and no answer. Drove back to this location - quite an inconvenience but at this point I was frustrated.
First I asked if 6 standard pieces only comes in dark meat now. The same guy that packed my order said, "Oh at the time that you were here, we only had dark meat". Of course, I told him that he should have told me and I would have waited. Also, I ordered online way ahead of time, I'm sure they can see my order that it needs white meat so why not have it ready for me at my pick up time?! I don't understand.
Anyway, I was very upset the fact that he didn't let me know and just thought he would get away with just giving me all dark meat. I'm sure there are people that loves all dark meat but customers have the right to know if there's a change in their order. White meat obviously always cost extra but with the standard I know at least 2 white meat will be in there for the 6 piece or sometimes 3 white meat.
He didn't apologize for not telling me and for me having to drive back and second, the manager was next to him counting money and she didn't say a thing about it. He handed over my order with 2 white meat and again, didn't say a thing.
This review would've never been posted if he took responsibility for his mistake and apologized. I have worked in a fast food restaurant and retail before and I know mistakes happen and taking ownership for your mistakes goes a long way. Read moreOrdered the online deal of 2 Famous chicken chicken burger, 2 tenders, 2 popcorn, 2 fries. After picking up the food and returning home, I find out the tenders are missing. The famous chicken burger looks tiny, almost like a burger made with tender. Called the branch but no one picks up. Drove back to the location with all the food. Girl at the counter who was taking order on the POS, took the bag of food and started going through the food in the bag without any gloves or without cleaning her hands first. A second girl came and took over and it was a relief watching her using gloves while going through the bag of food. They gave me the missing tenders. Also, stated they gave the right burger which seemed surprisingly smaller comparing to the previous time I ordered the same burger. This is the second time I ordered this burger, as I used to order the zinger burger before. Also, stated they had the phone in their back office so they dont hear the ring. Whats the point of having the phone then.
Driven back home with the cold food (only the tenders were warm as they were given the second time) and a lost appetite.
After reaching home, I realized I ordered the same burger from another location (near falconridge) when I previously ordered it. May be I will go to that location from now on. They were so professional, they even called me after I placed the order to inform that they were going to take additional 5-10 mins as they were preparing the burger fresh for me. Read moreAfter placing my order I received an order confirmation via email telling me to pick up my food 15 minutes later. I arrived at the store a couple minutes early and ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes while watching many others come and go. Finally I decided to politely ask the staff if my order would be ready soon and they told me It was my responsibilty to "check in" upon arrival which I witness 0 other people out of probably 20 orders. When I had mentioned that I saw no one else check in the staff just rudely pointed to small sign that would have been difficult to find on a good day. After waiting an additonal 5 minutes I received my food and I couldn't find one of the personal sized gravies. When I had mentioned it to the staff that It appeared I was missing one they rudely rifled through my box, opening all the boxes, and I heard one staff member say to the other "go show him he has a gravy" in a very rude and frustrated manner. I said thanks, and took my food home, just excited to watch the hockey game and enjoy the meal. Well, after all that, everything in my order was cold and soggy with the exception of the dark meat chicken which had a crust which seemed to have become stale or really thick somehow.
