Terrible Experience Faulty Product and Disrespectful Customer Service
I recently purchased Badana from Lovely Sweets, located at Skyview Plaza, Calgary (600 Country Hills Blvd NE #1860, Calgary, AB T3N 1K8). Upon bringing the sweet home, I noticed visible fungus covering the product before I even opened the package. Concerned, I immediately set it aside and took photos to document the issue.
The next day, after returning from work, I visited the store to address the issue. At the counter, I explained the situation and showed the faulty item to the employee. However, their attitude was shockingly unprofessional. The employee displayed no respect or interest in my concern, demonstrating zero customer service skills. He took the item to the back room and returned with the manager, who was equally rude and dismissive.
To my surprise, the manager did not acknowledge or apologize for the issue. Instead, he tried to misrepresent the situation by showing me a completely different product, claiming it was the one I had brought in. The original faulty item conveniently disappeared. When I pointed out that this was not the same product, he rudely dismissed my claim, telling me to âdo whatever you want to do.â This level of arrogance and disregard for customers is absolutely unacceptable.
Adding to the suspicion and lack of accountability, the manager had removed his badge when speaking to me, further indicating a lack of transparency. Despite the obvious fault in their product and their mishandling of the situation, they refused to issue a refund or even apologize.
This incident reflects an appalling lack of professionalism, customer care, and ethical responsibility on the part of Lovely Sweets. The way they dismissed and threatened me instead of resolving the issue is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from this establishment, as both the quality of their products and their service standards are highly...

My mom placed an order asked me to pick it up. Lady helping me wasn't friendly advised I was 30 minutes late. I apologized. She charged me for samosa and pakora's.
Went to the back to get my food. Then returned to the front and said "since you were late we sold all our Samosas we will be giving you aloo Tiki instead"
Why would you charge me if they sold out.
I told her since this was for my mom I would need to speak to my mom. I stepped to the side and phoned my mom who advised generally aloo Tiki is cheaper than samosa so tell them to throw in the chick peas as well.
The girl was giving me attitude the whole time she rolled her eyes and said "you have to wait 15 minutes". I went to the car to wait and returned after 15 minutes. The other girl handed me the debit machine said you have to pay for the chickpeas. I told her the other girl was going to throw them in for free since I paid for samosa's and they were sold out. The girl came out and once again said I said I would give the chickpeas but it wasn't for free?
No customer service skills at all. Charging for something you don't have in stock.
Definitely will not be back - so many other options in the area.

If you scroll down in reviews, Rajdeep Dhillon, Harman Sidhu and R.Rathore faced the exact same issue.
On many occasions I call them ahead of time to get the food prepared. And after collecting payment, this store would make me wait another 15-30 minutes. At that point you cant even cancel your order.
Well not this time, I called and placed an order, I was told the order would be ready in 10 minutes. I go to the store after 15 minutes. A staff person approached me and asked me if I needed anything else. I said no. She whips out the debit machine and asks me for payment. I asked her about my order if it's ready. She said yes it's ready. I said where is it? She rolled her eyes and started giving me an attitude. Went to the back and came back after 3-4 minutes with my order. I paid for the order and was on my way.
Lesson to learn, never pay upfront and after verifying time frames, give them a deadline. If your order is not ready within 5 minutes, walk out. Honestly there are many places that deserve your money and would work hard to value your time. Unfortunately for me, this is the "emergency" place if I need something...
