2024 Dec update: Ordered Taro milk tea with taro ball. Taro was either rotten or something was wrong with it, it was sour and immediately gave my tongue tingle. I spitted out but my mouth was left numb. Called the store, suggested not to serve the taro for anyone else as it could cause health issue. There was language barrier, I’m not sure if she understood what I was trying to say. I have been a royal customer, I go once a week. Sadly their quality keeps going down. And in this time, the drink made my tongue numb, I am very not happy with today’s experience. My rating went from 5 stars to 1, it is very sad because I really liked Koi. The server took my phone number for manager call back, but she called me back saying I should call manager and gave me a fake phone number. If you are not going to call back, why did you asked my number anyways. It is not right way to treat a customer, especially someone who experienced numbness from their product.

2023 Jan update: sadly, my favorite Taro shake is removed from the menu. They still have taro milk tea and they use fresh taro for it as well! Last few visits, I found their service level went down a bit. One time they made taro paste incorrectly, the other times they were very slow. One time I placed pick up order via door dash because they take long time to serve drinks lately. I went to pick up 5min after pick up time just in case, there was no one and the worker was not making any drinks but I was told to wait 5 more min because she had not started yet. I love their drinks still, hopefully operation improves!

I love their taro milk shake! It is made with real taro, unlike those purple powder mixed with milk a lot of bubble tea places serve. Their taro balls are amazing. Tea menu tastes really good as well. Koi’s drinks are different from other bubble tea places, price is not cheap but...

Unfortunately had a really bad experience today. I have collected full stickers for the loyalty card, and wanted to redeem one free drink plus buy another drink. The lady told me she didn’t know how to redeem it, and asked me to redeem next time. I do not want. Then she called her manager figured out how. I waited around 20 minutes for the two drinks when I was the only one in the store without doing any other delivery/take out orders. So it was too slow. When I got my drink, one of them is peach green tea with cream foam on the top, the cream were full of bottle, from top to bottom, also there are supposed to be no white pearl which is I usually drink many times of the same drink, she gave me one with white pearl and cream mixed on the top. Then she said she can make another one for me, I refused. Because I do not want to wait for another 10-20 minutes for the drink. I’m so disappointed for the drink and service today. I was a really loyal customer, I would say if you treat your loyal customer like this, your business will not have loyal customer any more. By the way, I just tried my only one drink, the ice is so big that I can not chewy :( everything changed, I do not think I will come back...

Every visit to Koi 🍹✨ is always a wonderful experience 🌸🙌. It’s not just a place to grab fresh and delicious juices 🥤🍊🍍, but a place where you truly feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected 💕🤝.

What makes this store stand out even more is the way the manager handles everything 🙏💯. With incredible professionalism, a genuine smile 😃🌟, and attention to detail that never goes unnoticed 💎👏, he embodies exactly what great service should be. Each visit, you can feel his dedication and his desire to make customers happy ✨.

Honestly, if Koi continues to have the manager like « « padwork » it has right now, this store will never go down 🚀🔥. On the contrary, it will only keep rising higher, because with leadership like his, customer trust and loyalty will only grow stronger 🌟🏆. He is living proof that when you put heart, respect, and passion into your work, everything becomes possible 💖🙌.

That’s why Koi is so much more than just a juice store. It’s a true reference point for quality, freshness, and exceptional service 🍹✨🌿. A huge thank you to the manager and the entire team for bringing so much happiness and satisfaction with every visit 🙏🌸. We’ll always come back...

Another new bubble tea place in Calgary! This time, located right next to Sun's BBQ on Centre Street. There's actually an entrance from Lambda Supermarket, when you walk in to Lambda take a left towards the rice section and the entrance should be right there. They are open 12-10pm every day except for Monday and Tuesday. I really like the all white interior, the place looks very clean and modern. I also loved the fake cactus decor along the wall with the booths. I had heard good things about their White Peach Oolong with Cheese Cap ($5.80 for a L). Got it without any other toppings because I wanted to try the drink on its own. I really liked it! The tea tasted high quality and the cheese foam was done well and added a lovely creamy element to the tea (don't forget to mix mix mix!). The more I drank it the more I enjoyed the drink. They also have a loyalty program (buy 9 get 1 free) which is always appreciated! I love that they use cute little koi stickers instead of regular stamps. I can tell a lot of thought went into this business and I will definitely be back!

A regular bubble tea spot - this place has amazing tea based drinks! Peach oolong with taro balls is a go to! Others that are must tries: the roasted da hong pao milk tea and the osthmanthus rice wine milk tea! If looking for a fruit based drink: the mango pomelo sago with coconut milk is great thirst quencher (the mango and coconut are well balanced and the pomelo adds a nice citrus note). Another recommended one is the fresh taro milk with sago (their taro is fresh and slightly sweet and the sago has a nice 'al dente' chew) Their boba is top notch - especially the taro balls (which they unfortunately do not offer now)! Staff are friendly and quality has been consistent between all the regular visits.

Nice little bubble tea store in center street. This is my first time trying out Koi. The store is very small and located beside a busy sushi restaurant. I ordered the straberry green tea. You can taste how fresh the ingredients here. It looks like the restaurant is always short in staff so expect to wait about 5 to 10 mins depending on how many people are inside. The price is definitely on the right range. The issue here is the parking since they don't have their own parking visible to customers. That's why it's a little confusing on where to park here for the first time. Overall, I do like their bubble tea here. Feels like an under-rated bubble tea store.
