I would like to take a moment and share our experience today at The Field of Crosses. My Grandaughter and I have started a new tradition of visiting The Field together. We take our time and visit the soldiers and read their stories, and in general just spend time honoring their service to our country. As we were leaving today, a gentleman started up a conversation with us, and shared a story of one of our local fallen soldiers. He was kind and thoughtful and we shed a tear together while my 6 year old grand daughter listened intently. We shook his hand and went on our way, as my granddaughter said, "he also cares about the soldiers like we do Grannie." That gental man was Sean Libin the Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Field of Crosses. I would like to extend my deepest heart felt appreciation towards all the time, energy and caring that Sean puts into this memorial. He cares deeply for our fallen soldiers and for that I am grateful. My father was an injured Veteran who returned from WWII.
