OPA! of Greece Crowfoot — Restaurant in Calgary

I rarely leave any review messages but I just can't resist this time. This is my first time ordering take out in-person since COVID-19. It's my daughter's birthday and all she wanted is Opa! for dinner. However, my experience wasn't nearly as I expected due to the health and safety measures the staff were having. In fact, there wasn't any except the floor stickers and one A-frame sign.

The two staff weren't wearing masks and speaking to customers over the food. They also don't switch gloves between handling food and opening the fridge door and other equipment. And when the customer before me returned an extra tartar sauce (using his bare fingers) to the staff, the staff just grabbed it and placed it back to the container where all the tartar sauce individual packs are stored (no wipe down or cleaning involved). I was astonished. Knowing that customers are super sensitive in cleanliness and food handling, should they care a bit more about it. And don't get me started talking about the tasteless...

I have come here numerous times, sometimes alone and others, with friends. Till now, the biggest issue has been them barely putting in any food, 2/3's the amount of food at other locations. But whatever, food was generally good. Today I went in, asked for two meals and to have my fries replaced with calamari. I've done this always and am always happy to pay the difference. The lady starts speaking in Punjabi which coincidentally I understood. After walking back and forth 2-3 times, she tells me the only way I can have calamari is via a separate 3rd order aka both my existing orders and another order of calamari. On the eve of Christmas Eve, I told them I always get this done.. and told them that even they had done it for me last time. She kept refusing. I was their only customer in sight. Always go to this location and the food and employees never disappoint. Went at around 8 and only one girl working, asked for her name so that she could get the credit and appreciation she deserves. Her name is Jass!! She said that the other employee left abit before 8 since it was very slow and I totally understand and others should as well. Despite being by herself she was fast at taking and making the orders. Didn’t have to wait in line for more than a minute and left with a “enjoy your food and goodnight” from her. Someone ordering in front of me seemed disappointed because it was busy and only one employee, but I can say one thing that she works just as fast as...
