This morning before work I stopped by Tim Hortons to enjoy a beverage. After ordering an expensive beverage, I asked the server, a woman in her late 50s, if I could use the washroom. She looked conflicted. But said yes. I grabbed my bag that I had placed at a table, and she said, 3 times while waiting for me, I am over here waiting for you to use the washroom. I told her I had to grab my bag first. When she saw that I had a bag, she said I couldn't take the bag into the washroom with me. I told her I am not going to leave it at the table, it could be stolen. And she warned me to not take a long time in the washroom, to be in and out quickly. I realized she was assuming I was a drug addict, using the washroom to do drugs in. I am dressed in office clothing, dresses pants and shirt, well groomed after a shower, and I am mature. She told me again no bag and to hurry in washroom. When I realized this is what she thought of me, I said, I am not leaving my bag outside the washroom, and I added I am not a drug addict. When I got out of the washroom I said calmly, "You are an extremely rude human being. You made assumptions about me that were uncalled for. " She rushed away from me so she didn't need to be confronted with her lack of hospitality and beyond rude accusations. Neither did she apologize to me. If I were the manager or owner, I would terminate her employment immediately. She has lost my patronage, and I can only imagine I am not the first. What on earth would give a minimum wage server at Tim Hortons the right to make this assumption and to express it loudly when there is no indication that I am a drug addict and gave her no reason to assume it? If you've been verbally assaulted by her as a patron, please speak up. What a truly rude, unthinking and bad example she makes for...
Read moreI had come in around Saturday at 1:25pm to order food. The couple ahead of me also ordered food. A pregnant woman ordered food right after me. Becuz drive thru times are clearly more important than serving the people in the store, I saw car after car get their food while all of us sat n waited. The couple ahead of me waited 10+ minutes for their food. The person who ordered AFTER me waited 15ish minutes for her wrap. I waited nearly 20 minutes for a wrap and a hashbrown. Cars were out in less than a minute, and yet we had to wait ridiculous wait times. And as I was handed the wrap the lady doing so just smiled at me like nothing was wrong and when I told her I was missing my hashbrown she pointed towards the cash register like I hadn't already paid for it. And just stood there doing nothing otherwise. This store is ridiculous. Been frequenting this place for over a year and this has not been the only situation that's made me extremely frustrated. Get workers who don't just look at you and smile after you ask where your food is...
Read moreI love Tim Hortons and had my first Tim Hortons coffee around 1984. I hate posting this but this particular location is Getting Worse Every Day. They seem to only focus on drive thru (which was really poorly designed in the first place) or they focus these days on the mobile app crowd, which really slows things down. Walk in customers, like myself who just want to grab a coffee most times have to wait and stare at empty cash registers stations for long periods of time. This morning was the worst yet, easily 20+ inside in the line, and a lot of the slow downs are customers themselves who try to pay with the app, but the scanners don't work, or they have to load more $$ and they want to do it at the til. Hey Everyone, Bring cash, have your debit card ready, know what you want to order before you get there, and Hey, Tim's, start focusing more on your original fan base, the Walk in customers !! At least have a coffee only station for those just trying to get in and out quickly. Please Get Back to Basics and Do Better...
