Really disappointed that Rice for King was swapped out for this place. I ordered beef salad rolls over the phone to pick up, when I returned to my office with my order, I opened the box and they were shrimp. I don’t eat shrimp salad rolls so I called back. The lady told me to return, so I did. She asked for my rolls that I took to the office back, I wasn’t going to eat them anyway but I hope they just threw them out and did not give them to someone else. It was a pain to come all the way back on my break from work and just get a “sorry, we just assume when people order salad rolls they want shrimp”. There was a table behind me and I watched the waitress bring out their bowls. The person put their chopsticks into the bowl to eat it and then the waitress realized they gave him the wrong order so she took it away and gave it to the right person. I was hopeful for this place but just based on what I saw today, I don’t trust eating there because it doesn’t feel sanitary. You can’t just take a bowl away from someone when they place their cutlery inside to eat it, they’ve touched it and then give it away to another person. The food itself was okay, nothing special but I won’t go back just due to being worried...
Read moreI have to say, this was hands-down the best pho I’ve ever had in my life. The broth was rich, fragrant, and deeply flavorful – you could tell it had been simmered with care for hours. Every sip was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spices and a beautiful depth that kept me wanting more. The noodles were silky and cooked to perfection, and the beef was tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Fresh herbs and crisp bean sprouts rounded out the bowl, making each bite a little piece of heaven.
But the food was only half of what made this experience unforgettable – the service was just as amazing. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. They made me feel like a valued guest from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. My water was always topped up, my questions were answered with a smile, and I felt truly cared for throughout the meal.
If you love pho, or even if you’ve never tried it before, you need to come here. This place isn’t just serving food – they’re serving an experience. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I can’t recommend...
Read moreAnother fantastic location from Calgary-Edmonton's most successful Vietnamese chain, serving some of the best pho in the city. If I'm correct, this is their newest addition, making it their 7th or 8th restaurant in the city.
The pho here is consistently excellent, with a perfect balance of fatty and savory broth. Their sate pho is one of the city's best, featuring a spicy and sweet broth with subtle hints of pineapple and curry, and a touch of peanuts. The broth is not overly thick, adding to its appeal.
Their traditional onion cake, can't get it anywhere in the city, absolutely delicious, and good to dip in your pho broth!
Though the price of pho has risen over the years, nearing $20 per bowl, I don't mind paying a bit more for delicious pho and excellent service.
A unique touch at this location is the fresh slices of jalapeño peppers served with your bowl of pho—an absolutely original and...
