Wow! Such disrespect. I was happy when this place opened up. Made it a point to come to this place instead of the Aviation road just a few minutes away to support a local business. I am giving food 5/5 and 4/5 for atmosphere, but the 1/5 star is for the service. I got accused of lying here in front of other customers and was told it was my fault that the order was wrong. Lying for a wrong $10 burrito? Really? It was a trigger for me. Usual they always say sorry and commit to fixing the order immediately. This is the first time I heard getting accused of lying. The person at the front counter gave me the wrong order. I order a large super chicken burrito, mexi fries and a chicken taco. I was given a super beef. I had to drive all the way back to get the order corrected. Instead, the lady at the front accused me of lying in front of other customers claiming I said Super Beef. I insisted I want my order fixed and I DID say super chicken. I am sure a replay of video will easily prove I said super chicken. There were a couple of other unhappy customers she was dealing with. The worst part of it was, even after battling to get my order fixed, I was given a REGULAR super chicken rather than a LARGE super chicken, which I had paid for. When she handed me the Burrito, she said "it was your fault because you did not look at the screen". Wow! So, it was my issue that I read the screen and had to catch the mistake right there and then? I replied by saying it is not my responsibility to check the screen. I am fine that a mistake was made. What I am not OK with, is being accused of lying when the money is no big deal to me. Furthermore, not only did I have to waste time/gas going back there only to get accused of lying, I also got short changed on the fixed order where I was given one size smaller.
All in all, terrible first experience here. I was really happy to come here and support a local business. I still realize this bad experience does not represent this location because of one disgruntled employee who wanted to vent out anger of mistake she made on me, but still it is hard for me to want to go back there considering I never have had any bad experience with the Aviation McKnight location in 5 - 6 years. Hard to find a silver lining in this as I ended up with a bad experience, wasted gas to go all the way back and even after getting accused of lying and pressuring to have my order fixed, the fixed order ended up being a smaller burrito than...
Read moreI love Taco Time and normally go to the location on Aviation Blvd however when I discovered this location closer to my house I was very excited. I visited for the first time on October 1 around 7:30pm. When I walked in there was nobody in the restaurant and there was one female employee standing at the counter with a sour look on her face. She never greeted me or asked to take my order, just stood there. I ordered two chicken quesadillas, four crisp meat burritos, a side of sour cream and I asked for one hot sauce per item. She typed the order in without saying anything which felt really awkward but whatever. I was surprised to see a tip option when I paid and despite her rudeness I still added a tip to my fast food order to go. When I got home and we opened the bag we were disappointed to see that we were not given any hot sauce, not even one. We were also not given the side of sour cream that we paid for either. The crisp meat burritos were great but the chicken quesadillas were a huge let down. There was hardly any filling and they looked like they had just been thrown in the container which was then put sideways into the bag which made them squish and stick to each other on the edge of the container. They were VASTLY different than the ones we have always enjoyed from the location on Aviation and McKnight. Definitely not worth the price we paid for them and combined with the missing condiments and surly employee it was a real turn off of this location. As I mentioned we love Taco Time and are regular customers however we will likely drive the extra distance to the Aviation location where we get friendly service, quality food,...
Read moreIt’s great to have a TT close to home. Used to have to go to Aviation or even Airdrie location. Have been frequenting this new Country Hills Blvd location since the day of their grand opening. Even won a $10 gift card on a spin the wheel game. Unfortunately I’m never able to use the gift card as their card reader doesn’t accept the card at all, even though online balance check of card reveals it still has $10 remaining. Also since opening day I have never earned any taco time points on any of my purchases due to same issue with the card reader. So the $50 or so spent so far I haven’t been able to earn any $$$ towards future purchases. Why have a rewards app if it doesn’t do anything. Please correct this issue. Otherwise the location is great. It’s a very small lobby if you are to dine in but I’m fine with take out only purchases. Food has always been fresh and tasty, friendly staff and service times are adequate. Would be a 5 star if the card reader issues...
