Pretty Sweet Bakeshop — Restaurant in Calgary

Ok, so I work at a restaurant in the NW and tonight I had the extreme pleasure of one of my tables graciously giving me one of these cupcakes, and….WOW!!

First impressions: When I was loading them onto a nice tray, me and another manger noted that these were some of the moistest looking cupcakes we had ever seen (and we see a lot of cake and cupcakes that guests bring in). Also the buttercream looked Sooooo silky smooth, which as a passionate home baker I appreciate because I know it takes extra attention to detail to get all those air bubbles out.

After dropping them off at the table I had to ask where they were from because we had many servers stop us to ask where they were from because the looked so delicious, and the lovely table let us in on the little secret, that is you guys!

Later when I brought the few remaining cupcakes back (like I said originally) they gave me one, and after a long day this cupcake did not disappoint!

It was the most moist, not to sweet and perfectly balanced , silky smooth cupcake I have EVER had!

Next time I am in the south I will definitely be coming to check you out ❤️

I am so glad I found this little bakery! I somehow came across them on Instagram, and fell in love with how pretty their sweets looked. Their cakes are gorgeous too, I'd definitely recommend looking into their wedding cakes. Anyways - I stopped by their location yesterday to finally try out their stuff. We got 4 donuts, a brownie and 2 cookies. The donuts - simply amazing. Moist, dense, and just right. I NEVER liked donuts before - they were always too sweet or had the wrong consistency/density. But these donuts were perfect - they're almost cakey, and I loved that. Next up, the brownie. We got a Smarties brownie. Again, sweetness was on point, and the brownie was so moist and dense. Just how a brownie should be. And the cookies? TO DIE FOR. We had the birthday cake and red velvet sandwich cookies. Rich but not too rich, the frosting is exactly what you'd want for a sandwich. Soft and sweet. Cookies themselves are just amazing. Thank you, Pretty Sweet, for becoming my new favourite bakery. I will definitely be coming back. My only wish is the storefront hours; I wish they were open Sundays too!

This was the first time I ordered from Pretty Sweet and at first I was nervous to order a cake where I hadn't tasted their sweets before. I was beyond surprised and impressed! This cake was for my milestone birthday and I had a specific vision in mind for what I wanted. I communicated with Trina in regard to my vision and she was great to communicate with, very open about pricing, and honest while finding ways to bring my vision to life. When I picked up the cake I was stunned by how beautiful it looked, and even more impressed when we had the cake at my party. Everyone noted how delicious, moist, and tasty the cake was. It wasn't too sweet, but a really good balance. In the photo I added macarons from their bake shop as well as the candles. Overall I will definitely be ordering another cake here again and look forward to trying other delicious treats they have!

For feedback, I recommend having a larger cake box as we couldn't close the box (the cake top would've been damaged). I wonder if there's a way to decrease the sweetness a little bit in your macarons as I found them to be a...
