I disregarded the negative reviews before going. Thought to myself that some people are a lot to deal with; you can’t please everyone. But it was all true.

I walked in ready and excited to buy some Wagyu. The owner, however, was cold from the beginning. Did not even say hello. He was visibly annoyed whenever we asked questions. All of his responses were very short and condescending. For instance, I asked for his recommendation on which cut of meat I should buy. He responded that I should’ve known what I wanted so as to not waste his time before pointing to the ribeye - unnecessary comment and extremely unprofessional.

At first, I thought it was ok since everyone has an off day.

But the owner’s attitude changed dramatically as soon as another customer with a luxury sports car pulled up. The owner said hello enthusiastically as soon as the the driver walked in and was more than happy to answer any of his questions. After I paid, the owner didn’t even say thank you and immediately went back to the other customer.

Their new location is fantastic and conveniently located with plenty of parking.

Their beef is second to none. And their customer service is fantastic. They are very well versed with their product offering and if asked will give amazing advice and tips.

We picked up some ground beef as our daughter wanted burgers and they were so helpful in giving us advice on how to mix our patties (premium plus chuck plus bacon bits was a killer combo!). We even picked up a Zabuton steak per their recommendation and followed their directions to a T. Let me preface this by saying that we aren't amazing cooks by any stretch of the imagination but this steak turned out so beautifully with a perfect crust that it honestly rivaled one of our most memorable meals in Tokyo at one of their top steak houses.

Brant Lake is a mainstay in our house and I am so glad we have local businesses like this offering such high quality products at a reasonable price point.

I have been buying Brant lake beef frequently since 2020 - beef is great. Went today at 11am and they had no fresh product out for sale. I was told wont be ready for 3-4hrs. There was only a couple on tomahawk steaks. I mean empty shelves like they were closed. How can a business that opens at 10am have nothing ready for sale at 11am? While service has always been cool today it was very cold and I got the impression that they are not interested in retail sales.

I was looking for 6-8 ribeyes and 6-8 tenderloins for a dinner party.

Had to go elsewhere - not sure what is happening, with the level of service dropping off over the last year.

Love to support local and drive in from outside the city to shop there but need to have confidence in the supply as well as feeling appreciated as a...
