In late June 2024 we contracted RareCuts to cater our indoor/outdoor family party of about 130 people. Folks’ ages ranged from 2 to 92 and we had those with allergies and food sensitivities as well as vegetarians in attendance. Scott was pleasant and professional in managing our inquiries and requests. Calvin and the crew did a bang-up job all the way around. They were more than capable of adjusting to physical layout changes. It seems that everyone loved the food and no one had their allergies or food sensitivities triggered. A Texan barbeque aficionado in attendance was highly impressed with the brisket (and took a photo of the bottle of sauce), which is saying something! Read moreOrdered from here on Skipthedishes the other day. I do not recommend them. They forgot half of our meal - both sides were missing from our meal. In addition to this, I chomped down on BONE inside my pork schnitzel. They had included some containers of gravy/mushrooms and those had all broken open and spilled over the entire meal. We also ordered a buffalo chicken dip, that apparently was frozen and not fresh as we had assumed since it didn't mention that. We looked past this and warmed it and ate it, and sure enough, an entire bone in there too. Seems to be lacking some quality control within the kitchen. Wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreRare cuts is set up at Cavalry games at Spruce Meadows. I needed something my 3 year old would eat. So I ordered the pineapple/pork skewer as he like skewers. I have a hard time remembering a worst meal. The meat did not look grilled, more like it was boiled. It had a slimy texture/taste and was cold. I had one piece of meat and pineapple and had to throw it out. My biggest concern was that in was sitting in a warming tray which was obviously not keeping the food warm.
