I ordered hot soy garlic chicken bites with cheese fries ($15.99 without a drink), as well as traditional (🌶️🌶️🌶️ as indicated by the menu) tteokbokki ($10) with extra cheese (+$3).
The main dish was very filling. Although I find Ogam prices to be on the higher end of Korean chicken in Calgary, they always have good quality food that doesn’t disappoint and makes it worthwhile. The chicken is crispy and rich in flavour. The hot soy garlic is great for someone looking for spicy, but not to the point that it overwhelms the taste.
For $13, the tteokbokki and extra cheese were served in a large portion. We could have split it with 3 people. I would definitely recommend the traditionally hot version, but for people who can’t do really spicy, there’s a rose (mildly spicy) version as well.
There are quite a few tables, but I can imagine that it would be very tight at busy times. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is comfortable place for friend gatherings as they offer...

As we sat down and read the menu, we were greeted with a funky smell of old sanitized wiping cloth. That was a turn off, but the smell went away once it was dry.
I ordered the spicy chicken combo with lettuce, rice and side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts, macaroni and corn salad with a side of soy bean paste. My girlfriend on the other hand got spicy soy fried chicken with salad and onion rings. On top of that we ordered a 5 piece seasoned chicken.
The service was fast, all of the chicken were cooked thoroughly, crispy, spicy and intense flavor. A little nice touch to my spicy chicken was the addition of kimchi to my chicken which made my dish saucy. It was a great dip to the crunchy lettuce. The seasoned chicken is one of my favorite as it has loads of nuts and I highly recommend for nut lovers.
Overall my experience was good and will definitely come back to try more of their awesome dish...
Read moreMy family and I came in around 7 pm on a Sunday, hoping to get a pretty good experience here. I heard from several friends that Ogam's chicken is the best on the block, which indeed it was. However, I was extremely disappointed by their customer service of how they treated us. We waited 17 minutes until my sister flagged down a waitress. What bothered me the most was when a staff member had walked right pass us to take someone's order in a corner, when they clearly saw us waiting and we came in and decided before them. Furthmore when the waitress took our order, she said "Sorry is it fine if you wait? The chicken takes really long to make." Like that answer was not acceptable, considering how we had to wait longer due to the staff's negligence. It was almost closing time when our food had arrived. It also would be more sanitary if the washroom had toilet paper and was clean. Thanks for the experience, I would come back to visit more if the customer...
