Rolymie Bakery Snacks & Things — Restaurant in Calgary

We recommended this place to our friend who was about to throw a big event and suggested to order lechon, as we decided to pick it ourselves for them we had an unpleasant encounter with their cashier and their system. Along the line there were 3-4 customers in front of us who ordered food as well and tried to pay through tap (as many of us don’t carry cash anymore) the customers in front of us had their card declined even though they tried 2-3 times with different accounts (debit/credit) and they paid in cash instead cause it was just a small amount. When it was our turn, this lady cashier asks us to pay thru their tap but again she says declined. And she even rudely said ‘oh pano ngayon niyan, pano mo babayaran ang lechon?!’ Cause we already said we don’t carry cash (it was $380). Like don’t she even notice that their system was at fault but still had the tone and rudely asks us to pay. As if we will run away with the whole lechon. Buti nalang di namin kasama yung friend namin that time, imagine nakakahiya, nirecommend mo na nga yung place...

Just recently, we ordered roast pig's head for our media noche. My hubby picked it up and he didn't notice if there's something missing. It was too late for him to know that there's only one ear left on the pig's head they gave to him. I called and talked to one of their staff about our concern and seems they are aware of what they gave to him. They told me that if we came back, they will refund $3 of the cost we've paid. Why not reduce the price right away instead of letting us come back?!?! It looks like they are expert of this "modus operandi" that if customers will not notice and not complain, they will still continue this anomalies. Also, the frontliner is not customer-friendly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience at Rolymie Bakery & Snacks! The food is absolutely delicious, with authentic Filipino flavors that remind me of home.
