As of writing this review, I have visited this establishment twice. I will briefly recount both experiences in hopes to inform whoever is reading and to bring more business to this restaurant.
Last week was one of my more difficult weeks this year. Without going into too much detail, Iâll say I was emotionally strung out. That Friday, after having completed my 10 hour long shift I was not only emotionally drained after the events of the week, but also physically. I had decided that after work, I would visit a mentor of mine to seek advice but before then, I would stop for a bite to eat. I am grateful that I decided on Shawarma Factory. Toward the end of my shift, I called them to make sure that they served falafel wraps, by god did they ever. Upon entering the store at around 5:00pm that same Friday, I saw that there was a queue of about 4 or 5 other guests in front of me. I did not wait long however, having had my order taken within about 5 minutes and receiving my meal within another 2-3 minutes. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and quick (their associate Lala specifically). Unfortunately however, because of the nature of the circumstances I was in at the time, I had to quickly devour my meal without taking time to savour it. Luckily though, it was good eating and I was very much satisfied.
That brings us to today. The reader may be happy to know, I am in much higher spirits as of today. I can honestly say that last weekâs and todayâs experiences at Shawarma Factory had some part to play in my now much lifted attitude.
Today I have had much on my mind. Going through my 10 hour shift the questions âwhat is the nature and reason of and behind my clinging to external relief?â and âhow do I develop an inner sense of love towards myself and the those around me?â were on my mind throughout the day. Through this contemplation I grew hungry. Having finished my shift, I needed to go grab an early dinner, for (as of writing this) I have an evening of insight and personal development planned (I donât have time to make dinner). Knowing that I had a good time at Shawarma Factory last week, I chose to visit once again. I do not regret it one bit. This time around, upon entering the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised to see no one in line. I was once again greeted by the amazing Lala who asked my about my day and what I would like to eat today. âLarge falafel wrap pleaseâ I answered, with a feeing of joy and calm. Once again, my food was prepared and served very quickly. Lala even filled up my water bottle for me! This time, I decided to take a more mindful approach towards my meal, savouring it instead of inhaling it like a tornado does a barn. After finishing my meal, I felt a genuine sense of gratitude for the fact that I was able to feed myself great food such as this in times when so many do not get the chance to do so. I do not say that last sentence lightly, the combination of the restaurants physical atmosphere, the customer service, and the absolutely delightful food, make it easy to take a pause in such hectic times and appreciate that which we are lucky to have.
A quick part about the food (keep in mind Iâve only had the falafel wrap). There is an assortment of different vegetables from which to choose for your meal. The cold station they are kept in looks pristinely well maintained and the vegetables themselves are very fresh. There are multiple choices for the pita, white, brown, and saj. I cannot speak for the saj as Iâve not had it but the white and brown pitas were, like the vegetables, very fresh. Now for the falafel. Surprisingly good! They were well seasoned and had a great texture as well as portion in the wrap. This ainât no run of the mill falafel, you will be happy and satisfied.
Finishing up this longer than usual review, I am filled with a sense of calm and satisfaction. I am glad I was able to eat in and too, spend my time at this restaurant in between work, and my following business later tonight.

Date of Visit: Tue Jul 25 2023
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant that has quickly become a haven for those following a keto or low carb diet. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I knew I was in for a treat. The restaurant's focus on providing healthy and delicious food that caters to these dietary preferences was evident in every aspect of my dining experience.
The menu at this restaurant was a breath of fresh air for someone like me who is always on the lookout for keto-friendly options. It offered a wide range of dishes that were not only keto-friendly but also packed with flavor. I couldn't help but be impressed by the creativity and thought that had gone into crafting each dish.
One thing that stood out to me was the attention to detail in ensuring that the ingredients used were of the highest quality. From the fresh greens to the perfectly cooked proteins, every dish showcased the chef's commitment to using only the best ingredients. It was evident that a lot of care had been taken to create a menu that was both healthy and delicious.
I opted for the grilled salmon with a side of roasted cauliflower, and it was an absolute delight. The salmon was perfectly cooked, with a flavorful and crispy skin. The roasted cauliflower was seasoned to perfection, and its natural sweetness shone through. It was so satisfying to enjoy a meal that was not only delicious but also aligned with my dietary needs.
The restaurant also had a wide selection of low carb desserts, which was a pleasant surprise. I indulged in a slice of their keto-friendly chocolate cake, and it was truly a treat. It was moist, rich, and decadent, without sacrificing any of the flavors I love in a traditional chocolate cake.
The staff at the restaurant were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They were able to answer all my questions about the dishes and provided helpful suggestions. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal.
In conclusion, this restaurant truly stands out as a haven for keto and low carb enthusiasts. Its commitment to providing healthy and delicious food, combined with its attention to detail and friendly staff, make it a top destination for those following these dietary preferences. Whether you're a seasoned keto-enthusiast or simply looking for a healthy and flavorful meal, this restaurant is definitely...
Read moreI was so excited for this place. Someone posted from Calgary celiac about them being super knowledgeable in response to allergies. I drove my boyfriend from the NW to the NE because someone had said they have gluten free pita.
My partner was so happy, finally a gluten free shawarma.
Wrong. The lady assured us the wrap was gluten free, it looked so good that I couldn't believe it... after she threw the shawarma onto the press that I'm sure she puts all the other wheat filled wraps on I asked to see the package...first ingredient "vital wheat gluten".
This is not someone just wanting to be gluten free for the hell of it. This is someone with a real sensitivity that has been diagnosed within the past few years. Being told you'll never eat your favorite foods again can be a struggle. Not feeling normal in society due to food intolerance and auto-immune issues is real.
After we discovered the pita was indeed containing gluten another staff member said they have gluten free pita in the back. We were then left standing there as those two staff members proceeded to help someone who walked in after us. We stood there wondering if there really was a pita? Can we trust this place now? My boy friend didn't feel comfortable even bothering to try ordering anything else, how can we trust the word of your employees after they told us with certainty the wrap she just made was safe for hai consumption. I could see he was dissapointed, and hungry.
I hope that this place succeeds. The ladies working seemed very nice but very unsure about what gluten is, about if a product contains gluten. If you're selling a product and being inclusive(which is appreciated) just be sure your staff knows what is in...
