J’s sunrise grill — Restaurant in Calgary

I have been going to Sunrise for many months and I go for two main reasons. The first is the quality of food. When your plate arrives it is colourful and the food looks healthy and fresh. Very well prepared! The second is the portions. You get 5 times what you get at a franchise style dinner and you pay a very reasonable cost. I am thrilled I have found this amazing restaurant. The owner, the waitress and the always smiling chef, are like family when you visit. They remember you and by the time you leave, you will remember them. Now for people who likes mom and pops shops this is the place to go , its a small little place so on the weekends it will get busy for sure but the staff is great Husband and wife are the cooks and one server . So just chill have a drink from the cooler they will get to you when they can… and they will with great smiles on there faces… its like going to your Favourite family member house, they are always welcome always friendly and the food 😘 Chefs kiss!!! Have ordered for take out for lunch several times and the food is top notch! The energizer, Chorizo wrap, and the Lemon grass pork sub to name a few.. Open weekends for us poor saps in the industrial park working the weekends, and it gets to the counter fast. I recommend stopping in, I'm done with fast food and J's is a welcomed addition with fantastic food IMO. Brought the wife and kid in for an eat in and was spoiled. Little girl had a fantastic time..
