I finally got to enjoy fresh, delicious Tunisian food—without spending hours in the kitchen! I went with my friend and our five kids, and we were all so impressed by both the quality of the food and the warm, generous spirit of the Tunisian chef, who welcomed us with a constant smile from start to finish. We had the shrimp brik—absolutely bursting with flavor—frecassĂ© loaded with tuna, and hands down the best seafood pasta in town! We’ll definitely be coming back regularly and recommending it to everyone we know!

Visited Desert Pita (5303 68th ave SE) for the first time. And hands down best Lebanese Style Donair in the city. They use traditional recipes from the owners parents. The seasoning and spices on the Donair meat is unlike any other, Thier pickled cabbages is hands down addicting (Grandmother's Recipe). I think Desert has ruined other Donairs for me. Not sure if I'm upset about that.

From a North African perspective, this is the best quality food and service ever had in Calgary if not in Alberta! Very delicious with incomparable presentation. Despite this small eatery advertised as a Lebanese food but the Tunisian food is what will make this place grow. Keep up the good work chef! All the best! Fully supported and extremely recommended for everyone to try!

Fantastic Desert Pita Experience in Calgary!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had the most delightful experience at Desert Pita in Calgary! From the moment I stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home.

The menu was a delightful blend of Middle Eastern flavors and the Desert Pita did not disappoint. Their signature pitas were a burst of deliciousness, perfectly filled with fresh and flavorful ingredients that left me craving for more. The variety of fillings and sauces catered to different tastes, making it a great spot for both meat lovers and vegetarians alike.

The food was served promptly, and the portion sizes were generous, providing great value for money. The staff's attention to detail and willingness to customize orders to suit personal preferences added an extra touch to the overall experience.

The highlight of my visit was the heavenly baklava - an absolute must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth. It was a perfect ending to my meal and left me with a lasting impression.

I cannot recommend Desert Pita enough! If you're in Calgary and looking for a delightful Middle Eastern culinary journey, this is the place to be. I'll definitely be back for more of their mouthwatering pitas and friendly service. Keep up the fantastic work,...

Been here three times. Entire section of menu devoted to shwarma and finally it was available 😒 Got a large eggplant wrap as everything has meat Their definition of large is definitely different from mine The pitas larger but the eggplant portion is exactly the same WTH Offer me toppings but most cost extra money Lettuce and tomato More of each veg than there is eggplant sadly Other options started at 1$ Pickled beets, pickles, hot peppers were free but would alter the taste as eggplant isn't exactly powerfully flavourful What sauce? Well enlighten me as to what sauce you have....jeepers So my "large pita" ends up completely fitting in one hand Jesus Christ My husband orders a chicken shwarma plate Three times he has to remind the employee that it is a plate not a wrap The employee turns to another and says he changed his mind and it's a plate Umm no You just didn't listen my last visit there Thought the third time could be the charm but instead it sunk them Looks good but the only "large" thing about this is...

Went to desert pita for lunch grab 3 pita for lunch because the lady won't give me the desert pita grill because she had one meat missing and she couldn't substitute the meat, got shish tawouk instead they put potatoes inside the pita she had few potatoes left I asked her if I could buy that as my side with salt and pepper and she said no will leave it for the next customer. She was arrogant no customer service skill and who ever owns this location must be a cheap ass who has to measure 3 pieces of donair and charge you $10. Taste was good service was awful never plan to eat there again. Rather go to Lebanese fusion where they make your donair without being so cheap what you pay...
