I started traveling and frequenting the Hubalta/52nd Street area in late January/early February and eventually had a brief period of living in the area. Every time I got on or off the 23, I would look at Deagla and think to myself, "I really got to check them out one day." a thought my boyfriend shared with me. Yesterday, we decided to FINALLY go. I was impressed by the quiet and open atmosphere of the restaurant and was very comfortable with the distance between the tables. There was plenty of seating compared to other places I have been to for donairs. While ordering, I had mentioned that we had never ordered from the establishment and was told that it would be somewhere I will not regret eating at and that I would not want to get donairs from any other place moving forward. I took that statement with a grain of salt, but remained open to the possibility of having that expectation fulfilled. When our order was ready and we bought it over to a table to eat, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by what I was seeing. This regular beef donair that I had ordered was absolutely MASSIVE. I was legitimately not able to take full bites as the size of this donair exceeded the amount in which my mouth is able to open. And the taste? This donair was exactly what I had been wanting in regards to feeling satisfied. Honestly, I could not help but agree with the employees statement surrounding the way I would think about my lunch. I no longer live close by, but my boyfriend lives in the vicinity. However, I would absolutely go out of my way to visit this establishment for a donair, regardless of where I may be in the city, at such a time the donair craving hits me. I absolutely 100% recommend Deagla!!

I recently visited Deagala Shawarma in Calgary, and I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with their friendly and attentive service. They were eager to help and provided excellent recommendations. The portions at Deagala Shawarma are incredibly generous. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter, and it was packed with juicy, flavorful meat, fresh vegetables, and perfectly seasoned rice. The garlic sauce and hummus were delicious, complementing the meal beautifully. Every bite was a delight, and I left feeling satisfied and full. The value for money is outstanding, considering the quality and quantity of food. Overall, Deagala Shawarma is a must-visit if you're in Calgary. The combination of great portions and excellent customer service makes it stand out. I'll definitely be back for more!

Having tried a lot of shawarma in Calgary to compile a list of the best ones, I have to say this place has the biggest I've even seen. Their prices are slightly higher than average but it is absolutely worth it. I'm surprised people can even finish these monsters. The employees are kind and strike up a conversation with you which is always nice. Flavor wise, their garlic sauce is uniquely interesting because it almost tastes a bit like ranch. That aside, their chicken shawarma was moist and the portion of meat overflowed from the wrap. It's honestly somewhat funny. Definitely highly recommend this spot, just wish it was in a more convenient location so I could bring more friends.

I’m not the biggest fan of shawarma in general but this might be one of my favourite places in Calgary. Tried it yesterday June 27 with a friend, I got the regular chicken shawarma, with fries and a orange soda drink. The food was delicious and very filling, the garlic sauce we asked for on the side was really good with the fries as well, gotta come here when you’re really hungry! The Lebanese lady who served us was a super nice lady, gave us recommendations, then later on came to our table and asked us how the food was and if there’s anything else she can get us, which we were not expecting for a place like that. It’s not like a restaurant with waiters/waitresses, but like I said she went above and beyond. I finished my orange cream soda pretty quick and I wanted another drink so I went and tried to buy like a can of coke, she said just take it it’s on me, since it was our first time there and I was so surprised, I said thank you so much, but I didn’t feel right not giving her a tip at least so I made sure I did that before we left. Overall it was excellent service, the place wasn’t dirty or anything and the food was also great! Will...
