Weâre at Calgary for a visit. We ordered sizzling bulalo, batchoy, sisig silog, fresh lumpia, halo- halo, crispy calamari and pork lumpia. Everything was good and delicious but the pork lumpia and the rice from sisig silog. The sinangag was hard that my husband has to pour soup on it for him to eat it. It seems like it was on the warmer for a long period of time waiting for the other dishes to complete. My 9 years old daughter was eating it already and thought of trying it myself. My first bite I saw still pinkish meat inside. I opened it up to check further I believe itâs still raw. I asked the server if that was really like that when they cook it and she said âis that pork? Yes it is cookâ. We stopped eating it anyways. I cook pork lumpia at home as well and it was not like that. Yes, the porkâs color if itâs NOT cook was pink and if you cook it, should be at least turns white/light brown. Other than that it was a good meal. Maybe next time try to admit if the food was not cooked properly and make it right. âIf itâs not right, donât serve itâ donât sacrifice the quality of the food. Chopstix has built strong connections to not only Calgaryâs Filipino Community but also volunteers their energy and is engaged with the city of Calgary.
As a small business, Chopstixâs was hit with all the challenges that came with surviving a pandemic. Even with the renovations and re-branding that they went through in the last few years, everyone employed there are part of our family and always strive to better customer experiences while providing amazing food.
I live in Vancouver now but whenever I am in town I go straight to the restaurant for the best home-cooked Filipino food in Calgary! I have not found any other Filipino restaurant quite like Chopstixâs.
My families love language is defiantly the joy of feeding someone good authentic Filipino food! Spread more love and not hate,...

The authentic lutong bahay Filipino taste is something I can flaunt to my friends from different nations. First time to order Shanghai noodles and reminds me of the noodle close to my hometown high school. Their Chopstix Special is sauce is so great to drizzle in your rice (like what you do with inasal chicken oil) and you wonder whatâs it made of. Picky nieces love their La Paz Batchoy. I like that the Lumpiang Sariwa is not loaded with camote and won't give you garlic breath after. đ
Servers are very efficient and good with detail. The free birthday cheesecake is yum! Robot delivering your food makes it fun for kids up to 70+.
I still wonder after 3 years, why they did not name their resto Kutsara't Tinidor or...
