If you're craving authentic Filipino flavors in a cozy and inviting setting, Tambayan at ka inang Filipino is definitely worth a visit. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
The menu offers a wide variety of Filipino staples, from savory adobo to hearty sinigang, and of course, the crispy lechon kawali. Each dish is prepared with love and attention to detail, bringing the rich and bold flavors of the Philippines to life. The lumpiang shanghai (spring rolls) are crispy on the outside and packed with delicious filling, making them the perfect appetizer. For mains, the kare-kare (oxtail stew) stands out, with a creamy peanut sauce that pairs wonderfully with the shrimp paste on the side.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to recommend dishes or provide a quick explanation of Filipino ingredients if you're unfamiliar. Whether you're new to Filipino cuisine or a long-time fan, the dining experience here is always satisfying.
The prices are fair, especially considering the generous portions, and the overall vibe is casual and family-friendly. If you're in the mood for something different, Tambayan at Kainang is a great place to indulge in the bold and diverse tastes of the Philippines. Oyan abe seselan...
Read moreI recommend this Filipino Restaurant for its different amazing ambiance and the taste of foods is great. We’d been here for the first time with my kids and we really enjoyed the bilao package. So I decided to bring my Latino boyfriend after few months and so proud to tell him that their foods are the best for me. We ordered beef caldereta, grilled squid and daing na bangus. As a result, he’s so happy and proud of our Filipino foods. He even mentioned such to his friends too plus he even asked me to go back in this restaurant. Thank you so much for making us all happy and satisfied. Mabuhay po kayo!
I would like to add here the “Kuya” who wore eyeglasses so I could thank him for being so accommodating. He’s so warm in welcoming and greeting us, asking what we need and how we find the foods. He showed us the Filipino hospitality. He’s so amazing! And with these things my boyfriend told me to give this restaurant the best review. Hats off! Thank...
Read moreGood place, very accessible just near the corner of 52nd and 17ave, across Rona. Ample parking space. Quite plenty of seats. Fast service. Friendly waitress. Good Filipino dishes, we tried their combo plus 6 cups of rice for $92 - Crispy Pata, Fried Tilapia, Pakbet, Pork Sisig, Nilagang Baka. Very tasty. Presentation was good too - you can imagine yourself eating in the middle of a rice field. The downside is when they use the ice crasher or blender it gets too noisy and you wouldn't be able to hear the person next to you - that breaks the enjoyment of eating. The menu is too large in size and content - it's really hard to choose from the long list of choices so we decided to just order the combo for the sake of time - it would be best of the menu is not overwhelming. Other than that, it was a good experience -...
