Steels Cafe and Grill — Restaurant in Calgary

The hours on the website clearly say open to 11pm which was not the case when we visited yesterday at 4:30pm. There was a sign in front of the restaurant stating it’s actual hours, I was disappointed to drive half way across the city to find out this information that could be posted online. Like many others my girlfriend and I picked this place because of it great reviews, it saddens me to have to leave a bad review. If you have to call every restaurant before hand it defeats the purpose of online information, however I would advice calling ahead if you attempt to go...

I ordered a Caesar's salad when I was there. The thing was massive, the biggest I've ever seen for a single person AND the most delicious Caesar's salad I've had in my life. Blew my socks off. The pulled pork wasn't incredible, but the salad set the bar too high. If I went back I think I would just order the salad and a dessert. Amazing service with a really friendly waiter that brought me seemingly endless glasses of milk for a nervous stomach I had for an exam the next day. He even asked if I wanted it cold, room temperature or warmed :")

We were staying at the hotel and were grabbing breakfast the next day. Didn't eat from the continental breakfast since we felt the selection was too simple. The menu for breakfast was sufficient and the food was pretty good but nothing extravagant. For what you're paying, I would say just fine.

Did not eat dinner or lunch there. Did notice that they have a Sunday brunch which we didn't partake but boy did it look great! Such a wide selection of things to eat!! Maybe next time we'll try their...
