I am from Ontario and currently residing in Calgary Alberta. Tim Hortons is my favorite all-time only one coffee in the whole wide world. Since I have been in Calgary I have been having one heck of a Time when I go to the drive thru and I tend to only use drive-thrus. The person taking my order either cannot comprehend what I'm saying or gets my order mixed up I have to repeat things three and four times before they understand what I'm saying how hard is an "extra large with 1/4 French vanilla?" It is usually a foreign person taking the order and not to be picking on foreign people but either they don't understand me or I don't understand them. I am not the only person who has voiced this opinion please put Canadians to work at Tim Hortons. That way when I'm in a rush to get to work it's not taking me an extra 10 minutes to order my coffee this means I have 10 minutes less sleep every day because I find I've been having to get up early or else I'm late for work because someone at that Tim Hortons cannot understand what I'm saying or I can't understand what they are saying. The other day I wanted to order a breakfast sandwich as simple as a breakfast sandwich and I had to wait till I got to the window and talk to an English-speaking person before my order could be understood. Not a way to run a business. I am not sure where to put the foreigners I realize that Tim Hortons, KFC, bingos, Etc are the lowest paid jobs in our country and that is why they are usually open for foreigners to take. Maybe we should make it so that they're not minimum wage jobs at least the coffee on our way to work so that we are not missing time getting a late or getting reprimanded for missing time or being late. Thanks so much not sure if any other Canadian have this complaint or not? If so just hit that little like button. That's my beef for today I don't usually have beefs but this is been a thorn in my side for a while now. Doesn't seem like Ontario has as many foreigners working at Tim Hortons. Then again it could be because I was from a small town and not a large city. Thank you so much for reading this and I hope you're all having a great day I will now that I've got this off...
Read moreTL;DR Service and atmosphere suck, workers are rude and rush you, never get orders right, been avoiding going to the location for years but unfortunately, it'd close by to where I usually am.
I have been going to this Tim Horton's for years now because I used to go to church nearby and when I tell you that they have not improved their service for YEARS, I mean it.
I stopped by this Tim's because it was on my way to work so I ordered through the drive-thru. I will admit, I accidentally said "blueberry donut" instead of "blueberry muffin". Honest mistake! So when I got to the window, I asked the worker if I could exchange it for a blueberry muffin instead because I mistakenly said the wrong food item and the worker rolls her eyes at me and covers her mic, leans out the window and says, "Miss, you ordered THAT donut." and points to the bag in my hands.
And I'm like ??? Yes, I know but I would like the muffin instead please. She rolls her eyes again, reaches out to me with no warning and grabs the bag out of my hand, and tells me they don't have anymore blueberry muffins and quickly lists the remaining muffins they have. So I said the first one I could even understand (chocolate) and she goes and gets it. As I'm driving away, I hear her shout to the rest of her team, "Hurry up guys, okay?!" I get to work and on my break, I go and have my chocolate muffin... to my surprise my muffin turns out to be fruit explosion.
Listen, I get it okay, I've worked in fast food/customer service myself and have been a customer at Tim's for as long as I remember. I KNOW IT GETS BUSY and I know it's tough work but if you're gonna give all your customers attitude and treat us poorly, what are you gonna expect? If you treat your customers nicely, they'll most likely treat you nicely too. Just slow down and take your time, take that extra moment to make sure GREAT customer service is your priority and not just speed and raking...
Read moreI work nearby and so there is not too many options for breakfast in the area other than Tim Hortons or A&W, but my overall experience at this location has been quite disappointing, over a span of the past year or so, I have been there many times and yet, I can say that 9 out of 10 times I have unpleasant experience. Regardless of the size of order, they don't bother to ever repeat it so often times, like almost every single time, there is always something missing.
When I go to drive-thru, the staff who takes the order doesn't even care if your vehicle is parked right in front of the menuboard and starts to hurry you to take your order when you can't even see the menu and decide what to order. So of course, that results in taking my order wrong, and when I drove up to the window to pay they handed me the wrong item with unfriendly services, also they handed back wrong change. So fine, I thought walking into the shop and order face-to-face would improve the situation, but no. Some staff don't even know the menu well and forgot to ask certain questions while taking my order. For example, this morning I went to order a breakfast combo and a steeped tea on the side, but the young lady charged everything separately (drink, breakfast bagel, and hashbrow), not to mention she forgot to charge my side drink. THAT MEANS I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA AND WASTED TIME TO GO THROUGH THE HASSLE WHILE WAITING IN LINE AGAIN FOR THE ITEMS THAT I COULD HAVE GOTTEN ALL AT ONCE.
I have customer service experiences in the fast-food industry as well, and I can say that this is truly unacceptable, from customer service to staff competence in their job. I tried to give it a chance time after time but it continues to disappoint me. I will never...
