Updated Review: This so-called “restaurant” is an absolute disgrace. What I experienced here goes far beyond bad service — it was hostile, insulting, and downright abusive. When I called to address a simple concern about my order, the man who answered (Engin) launched into one of the rudest, most unprofessional tirades I’ve ever dealt with. Instead of listening, he immediately blamed me, mocked me, and then had the audacity to accuse me of sharing my meal with other people — something completely false, irrelevant, and wildly inappropriate. Even if I had shared my food, what kind of deranged business owner thinks it’s acceptable to interrogate customers about their private lives?
The arrogance and disrespect were beyond belief. I paid $26 for a meal that came with barely any rice, and instead of taking accountability, he insulted me and literally hung up in my face. That’s not customer service — that’s contempt.
This place clearly doesn’t care about food quality, customer satisfaction, or even basic human decency. They only care about squeezing money out of people while treating them like trash the moment they dare to ask a question. Honestly, the way Engin behaved makes me wonder how many other customers have been gaslit, insulted, or lied to.
Calling this “bad service” would be too generous — it was abusive, unprofessional, and shameful. If you value your dignity, your time, and your money, avoid this place at all costs. There are dozens of restaurants that will actually respect you and appreciate your business. I strongly warn others to avoid this place because of how they treat customers.
Stay far, far away.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. No customer should be treated this way. I will never order from here again, and I strongly warn others to stay away.
I’m extremely disappointed with this place. I ordered while at work, expecting a decent meal, but the portions were shockingly tiny. I first tried the food, and immediately thought, “I have to stop and take a picture to show what $26 actually gets you here.” The hummus? Barely anything. The fries? Not much better—some, but definitely not enough. The rice was almost non-existent. For $26, I could’ve bought a whole bag of fries somewhere else and still been full. Yes, the food tasted okay, but the portions were ridiculously small. I expected generosity and a filling meal, but instead got skimpy servings that aren’t worth the price. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this was beyond...
Read moreI visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend, and I must say, I'm thrilled that I did. Our Friday dinner experience couldn't have been better.
Food: To start, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary serving of freshly baked bread, accompanied by hummus and a dip, possibly Acliti. We couldn't resist devouring it all, even though my wife cautioned me not to overindulge and save room for our main course.
For our main dishes, we ordered the following:
The highlight of our meal was the piping-hot kunefe for dessert, which was quite possibly one of the best we had.
Additionally, the restaurant surprised us with complimentary Turkish tea, which we were initially hesitant to try. To our delight, it turned out to be incredibly refreshing and changed my perception of Turkish tea. It's safe to say I hadn't experienced an authentic one before.
Service: Despite being very busy, the staffs moved efficiently and attended us individually. They even sought feedback about the food time to time and ensured our satisfaction. Their service surpassed that of most fine dining establishments we've visited.
The total cost for two people was approximately $50, and we left the restaurant with smiles of satisfaction. Food might be a bit bland to an Indian taste but it’ll grow on you gradually. As I continue to explore Middle Eastern restaurants, I can say that this is the most authentic Turkish restaurant in our city. A must try if you’re craving for some Turkish/...
Read moreI've visited this restaurant several times, and while the food is undeniably tasty and well above average, my review primarily focuses on another aspect. I recommend you give it a try; you'll likely find it delightful. However, I should mention a few points: for instance, serving Adana Kebab with fries isn't quite authentic, but it's forgivable since the overall food quality is commendable.
The significant issue with this restaurant mirrors a common trend among many Middle Eastern and Turkish eateries: they do not serve alcohol. This establishment boasts excellent mezze and kebabs, yet the absence of wine or beer diminishes the dining experience. Imagine enjoying a perfectly wrapped kebab with a pint of beer – an ideal pairing that's unfortunately not available here. The dining experience can feel rushed without the option to linger over drinks, making it suitable for a quick lunch but less so for a leisurely dinner.
Given my Turkish heritage, I understand the business model they're employing. They cater specifically to a clientele that includes Muslim or Middle Eastern immigrants, which is understandable and culturally respectful. However, this approach limits their potential customer base. It's somewhat counterintuitive to narrow your market appeal in an area where broadening it could significantly enhance business success.
In summary:
Food Quality: Excellent, though authenticity could be tweaked slightly. Service: Fine for what it is, but the experience is incomplete without drinks. Atmosphere: Functional rather than festive, due to the lack of alcohol.
If you're looking for a quick, delicious meal without the ambiance of a drink, this place ticks all the boxes. However, for those who enjoy pairing their meal with wine or beer, consider this a heads up to adjust your expectations...
