recently visited Banh Mi Cay, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The Vietnamese lady who runs the place is a true gem. She's the heart and soul of this cozy eatery, and her beef satay sub is an absolute delight!
What impressed me beyond the delicious food was the cleanliness and tidiness of the place. It's evident that she takes great pride in maintaining a spotless environment.
The owner's warm and welcoming demeanor added to the charm of the place. She took the time to craft our subs to perfection, ensuring they were incredibly fresh. Speaking of freshness, the bread you get here is top-notch.
I wholeheartedly recommend Banh Mi Cay. It's a fantastic local eatery, and supporting this place is a must. You won't be disappointed!

Read moreI happened to see their Vietnamese Sub sign off 17th Ave. I sat in front of their cafe googling a review. 5 stars and I would happily say I’d come back here again for their tasty subs! Their spring rolls were probably the best I’ve tasted. The owner Winnie is such a Gem of a human that is just so excited to share her home made food. It’s a true take out, but I propped myself at their 2 top while waiting and couldn’t wait to eat Sub #1- all the spring rolls and wonton soup. Winnie graciously gave me some digestive sweet cold tea, and her Mom who is Vegan shared their 5 way seaweed and green papaya salad that was so refreshing and delicious. There is a lot of heart and soul in this modest Sub shop. Will visit often! Order for your Family...
Read moreFrom out of town and stopped in after golf. Small shop with one table so you'll most likely get take-away. Staff was super kind, talkative and friendly.
Went with the Cold Cut Combo Bánh Mi and asked for it spicy. Came with lots of different meats, soft paté, vegetables, and the perfect level of spice from jalapeño and a bird's eye chili. The bread though......it was absolutely on point! Crusty & flakey on the outside but soft & tender on the inside, the outer crust was that perfect level of crunch that doesn't cut up the roof of your mouth.
So glad we stopped here on a whim, I will definitely be adding it to memory for our next trip down. Easily on par, if not better, than the best Bánh Mi I've found...
