If you're a true burger lover or someone with a serious craving for an indulgent milkshake, Vera’s Burger Shack is the place you absolutely must visit. It’s not just a meal; it's an experience. Every bite and every sip made me fall in love with burgers and shakes all over again! Vera’s burgers are everything you want a burger to be – juicy, packed with flavor, and made with love. The patties are perfectly cooked, with a char that gives you that classic grill taste without being overwhelming. Whether you go for their classic cheeseburger or one of their creative signature offerings, the ingredients are fresh, and the toppings are generously loaded. The buns are soft, but sturdy enough to hold all the deliciousness together. And trust me, you will savor every bite. As much as I loved the burger, the milkshake deserves its own round of applause. It’s thick, creamy, and just the right level of sweet without being overpowering. Made with high-quality ingredients, it tastes like nostalgia in a cup, reminding you of childhood summer days. Whether you go for the classic vanilla, chocolate, or something more adventurous, it’s the perfect companion to your burger. The casual, laid-back atmosphere of Vera’s is inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. You feel like you’re at a neighborhood gem, not just another burger joint. The service was fast, but you never feel rushed—perfect for enjoying every moment. Vera's Burger Shack doesn’t just serve food—they serve happiness. From the savory goodness of their burgers to the sweet bliss of their milkshakes, every item on the menu is a winner. I can’t recommend it enough! If you're looking for the best burger-and-milkshake combo in town, this is the place. Five stars, easily! I went there last night and their daily specials was the BBQ burger and it was the best burger I ever had in my life.

We were in the mood for burgers and wanted to try something new! The parking lot is a mess with construction but the restaurant is nicely decorated, bright and features a large mural featuring a giant burger, Calgary and Vancouver (where Vera's is from) prominent buildings. The person taking our order was very patient with us as all 4 of us figured out what we wanted to eat. There are no kids burgers on the menu so we went with 4 of their weekend specials which features the Pawer- burger with grilled onions and an egg, french fries and a fountain drink. All burgers come with standard toppings and they have a large amount more you can either add for free or $2. Everything was made fresh an the first thing we noticed when they brought out the food was how good the fries looked (and they tasted delicious). The burgers were tasty 6 ounces patties with a generous amount of toppings (even veggies which are often cheaped out on). The meal was pricier than expected as the weekend deal for adults is a good price but for kids it's expensive (and too much food) which means we'll likely go elsewhere next time.

Vancouver prices from a Vancouver chain for food that barely stands up to the pubs down the street. Extremely oily fries that were still a bit raw on the inside - you can even tell going through the other pictures that they have consistency issues with some orders being perfectly golden and others looking close to burnt. Burgers were pretty good, but REALLY overpriced (especially for a chain) compared to the numerous other burger options nearby of comparable quality like CB Drive-in, Lil'Empire, ECT. Even most of the pubs in the area will easily beat their prices (and match quality) after you've ordered everything. ($15~$19 for most of their burgers on their own, with fries being an additional nickle-and-dime $4.50 charge on top of that, then drinks...) Condiments aren't provided at the table, they just give you a single thimble sized single-serving cup of ketchup at a time; obviously trying to squeeze every last dime they can out of thier 11th location. They cant even be asked to provide dine-in customers with straws.

I wanted to love this place but it was extremely expensive and disappointing.

When we walked in, all you could smell was diesel fumes. Their HVAC system seems to be pull diesel exhaust smells in from somewhere. The smell was very off putting but we decided to order anyways because the reviews were so good.

We ordered two Vera burgers, one order of fries, one of onion rings, two pops and a side of Vera sauce. The total was $46!!!! That is an insane price!!! It was $7 for the rings which made them around a buck a ring.

We sat down and waited for our food. They brought our order out to us which was nice. Everything looked great, the fries and rings were fine, but the burgers were terrible. They were definitely frozen patties and if they weren’t, they were formed by machine. They were tough and dense.

My husband finished his burger but I could only manage half. We both left feeling not great and like we had a brick in our stomachs.

It’s sad when you go to a place where the people are kind and trying their best but you know the place won’t last very long.

Don’t believe the good reviews, we wished we’d gone to...
