My first visit to the restaurant was good - I liked the food and they were running a promotion of 25% off your first app purchase. The owner was friendly and helped me maximize my savings. He also told me of the feature that you can set a pick up time for your food on the app, which is helpful for when I work late and want to pick up dinner on the way home. On Tuesday, I ordered how he showed me on the app, and I specifically ordered the teriyaki chicken because it was the Daily Deal promotion of 20% off my order. I didn’t get the discount and the workers wouldn’t give it to me. I returned tonight to speak with the owner and he said that ordering on the app doesn’t work with the Daily Deals. One is a national promotion and one is a local promotion. I asked him why he encouraged me to use the app when it doesn’t work with his Daily Deals. We went round and round and he couldn’t explain it. I asked him why he wouldn’t tell me that they don’t work together, it’s false advertising to have both of them. He said the Daily Deals work with in store or pick up. I said I was picking up my food, so why doesn’t it work? Because I used the app. Again, just going in circles. Why would they have two different systems that don’t work together? He said the app is new, so that’s why it doesn’t work. I said he should have some sort of sign or communicate that the Daily Deals don’t work on the app. He didn’t have an explanation for why he doesn’t have one. It’s just frustrating because I live locally and we’re encouraged to support local, and then this sort of thing happens and you ask yourself, “Why should I support you?”. When you’re trying to build a business, you shouldn’t use false...
Read moreI've been ordering from Robin and the great team at WokBox for the better part of 6+ months for my team mates at the office.
It's always on time, always fresh and always delicious.
As a person who orders lunches for the entire office, Robin's help on being flexible, adaptable and quick-to-solutions has not only made my life easier: but made for my office mates avoiding the lunch-time grumbles!
In fact, last week he was able to save my proverbial bacon when I was stuck in a set of meetings downtown, and couldn't get over to him to order. So he was able to put together the order, deliver it himself and then coordinate with me -- and it was painless!
As for food recommendations: my go-to's right now are the teriyaki chicken on udon noodles in a tray, the Mongolian beef, and the tofu on rice.
I highlight recommend Robin and his crew, for whatever catering ordering you're doing. Also, their sumo-size for my one-off lunches that I get alone as also a great treat for a...
Read moreAmazing experience! I tried the Hong Kong Spice and Jungle Lemongrass, both made with ribbon noodles, were absolutely delicious. The Hong Kong Spice (Must try) had the perfect balance of heat and savory flavors, while the Jungle Lemongrass noodles were refreshingly aromatic and enjoyable!
I was also pleased to see they offer gluten-free options, making it a great choice for everyone. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring you get great value for your money.
The staff were friendly, the service was quick and the ambiance was cozy and inviting which made the dining experience even better. I highly recommend!
I can't wait to come back and try more of...
