Xing Fu Tang 幸福堂 Crescent Heights — Restaurant in Calgary

Ordered on DoorDash, delivery was terrible, but that's a different issue. I'm a little on the fence for Xing Fu Tang. I like the brown sugar pearls, they are good when eaten fresh. However, the drinks are mediocre at best. I ordered two drinks, one I had immediately and that was decent. The other, Matcha Latte, I kept it in the fridge for later consumption (~8 hours apart), and it does not store well. In my experience, there are very few bubbletea stores that have drinks that store well. The good thing about the Matcha Latte is that I know they did not skimp on Matcha powder, BUT, it was not well-made. I used to work in a Japanese restaurant and Matcha has to be whisked well with the Chasen to fully froth, dissolve and bring out the flavour of the Matcha. The Matcha Latte from this store tastes strongly of undissolved Matcha Powder. I like that it is strong, I do not like that it tastes like I am eating Matcha out of the jar. The first time I went was when they just opened up, and it took approximately 30 mins to get my drinks. They also ran out of milk tea so I couldn’t order one of their signature drinks; the brown sugar milk tea with pearls. Instead, I ordered the Bunny Jelly Mango Smoothie and the bunny jelly was very hard and chewy. The drinks are also quite expensive for the small size cup you get.

The second time I went, I was finally able to get the brown sugar milk tea! The drink tasted pretty decent, and the service was quick, BUT some of the brown sugar pearls were rock hard. I bit into it and legit almost chipped a tooth. I had to throw away the rest of the drink as it was undrinkable.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. It’s expensive, and the drinks are inconsistent. The franchise locations in Vancouver...

I recently visited Xing Fu Tang and had an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff and the inviting aroma of freshly brewed tea.

The menu offers a fantastic variety of flavors and customization options, ensuring that there is something for everyone. I opted for the classic milk tea with tapioca pearls and was blown away by the rich, creamy taste and the perfect chewiness of the pearls. The balance of sweetness and tea flavor was spot on, making it one of the best bubble teas I've ever had.

The ambiance of the shop is cozy and vibrant. The service was quick and efficient, even during peak hours, which I greatly appreciated.

Overall, Xing Fu Tang exceeded my expectations with its exceptional drinks, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch customer service. I highly recommend it to all bubble tea...
