Bubblemania — Restaurant in Calgary

I can’t say enough good things about Bubblemania! Eve was a total gem to work with when it came to planning our Christmas lunch party. She made everything so easy—super prompt, friendly, and always so on top of things. She took extra care to make sure everyone’s dietary restrictions were covered, which was a huge plus!

The boba bar was a total crowd-pleaser. Everyone had a blast mixing their own drinks, and the cooler full of pre-made drinks was perfect for those who wanted something quick and delicious. And don’t even get me started on the karaoke—it was totally worth adding, and we all had so much fun belting out our favorite tunes. The photographer was also amazing, capturing all the best moments!

The food was absolutely beautiful—everything was fresh, perfectly presented, and the desserts? To die for! Plus, the signage was spot on and made everything super easy to navigate.

And the decor—wow! The fresh floral centerpieces were stunning and added such an elegant touch to the space. The backdrop for photos was gorgeous, and the photo booth was a hit with everyone! It really made the event feel extra special and gave us all tons of fun memories to look back on.

Honestly, Bubblemania is a hidden gem in the city for hosting parties, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, intimate space for their next special occasion. Eve and her team went above and beyond to make our event...

TIPPING CULTURE OUT OF HAND.

2 adults, 3 kids (under 8) and a baby. (8m)

The service was subpar. We had to keep flagging our waitress down to Order anything, and would have to flag down anyone if we needed anything extra. We had to flag her down for an order of wings that was placed. About 15 mins ago after receiving the first couple plates in 5 mins, which is the usual. This led to us talking about how the service wasn’t the best. It was not busy at all when we arrived and throughout our meal.. I’d say the restaurant was 3/4 full. We’ve been when the restaurant is packed, and have had much better service.

This is why it shocked us then the bill came out. And it had AUTO grat since we had 6 ppl. I asked her.. the 6th was a baby… who was just sitting there cause her mom was there. And she replied, It’s the number of seats. She was not “waiting” or providing any service to a baby, in fact she barely served our table. We then had ordered some drinks separately to go as we headed out, and rather than putting it on a separate bill, she added it to the same, making the drinks also having the auto 18% tip. The tipping culture is getting out of hand and this is prime example. Gratuity should be earned, not expected .

Myself and my entire family have been coming here for over a decade… we’ve had plenty of great experiences, just not this time and has turned us off to...

Love the simplicity and atmosphere of bubblemania. It reminds me of a university hang out spot where you can expect good food, decent pricing, bbt and good times with friends. It's almost always packed each time I go at night - so haven't had the chance to experience dine in yet.

Experienced the take out services multiple times here (ordering online) though - a very simple and straightforward process where you go in to pick up by your name and pay for it at the front desk.

The staff here are nice, courteous and friendly.

Would highly recommend the wings here but if it's take out, more of the dry wings. The wet ones were ok - appreciate the gesture of separating the sauce and the wings (so they don't get soggy) but the sauce seemed rather watery in the end and didn't stick on the wings (it soaked in instead). The drinks here - hits the spot with such a wide variety of mixes you can get. Ultimately love the wings and bbt deal which is $10-11ish in the end. Curry chicken rice isn't bad as well - it's not your typical Japanese style curry where it's thick, but this one has good kick and taste to it.
