I must say, even after a year, they still impress me. Their customer service here is really great. I ordered a hamburger in advance on their website, but when I got there, there was a sign outside for $5 hamburgers during lunch on weekdays. I asked them if I could get the special price instead since I didn’t know about it, which was for walk-in only, and there was no problem accommodating me which made me happy. They value their customers here!

UPDATE: I went back for their grand opening and tried the regular pearls—THEY ARE SO GOOD!!! They are the perfect texture and chewiness for me. I am so impressed, especially because I didn't expect much from a Boba shop in little old Cambridge and my first experience during the soft opening was just OK.

I tried the Matcha latte this time because of the aesthetic, and it was so beautiful. I think they use better quality Matcha here because it was a more vibrant green compared to that brownish, low quality matcha that some other places use. It was really yummy, but my favourite is still the milk tea. I asked for no ice, but the lady who was making the drinks told me she needed to put a little bit in for the matcha to sit on top of the milk, which I'm happy about because that means she KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING!

I got the Strawberry Lava for my sister and it was sooooo good too. A bit sweet for me to drink the whole thing, but I really enjoyed the 4 sips, haha. My mom got the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Latte and said it was the best drink she ever had and that she'd never tasted a milk latte with that much flavour and richness before. I'm still not a fan of the brown sugar pearls because I feel like they taste mushy, but at least she liked them, lol.

I also tried the original smash burger. My picture doesn't look that appetizing BUT it was so delicious and the patty was packed with so much flavour. It was also a bit spicy. I don't know what spices they use, but it WAS AMAZING.

I was served at the pick-up counter by a really sweet man. I didn't get his name, but he made my experience very welcoming. He was all smiles and even brought me the rest of my drinks and my burger to the table where I was sitting, and asked me how everything was. I asked for my receipt late (I forgot!) and he said he would get one re-printed for me even though it was really busy. He didn't forget about me. :') This mans deserves a RAISE! Hahaha.

I'm glad I came back to try some other things because it raised my review to 5 stars. You don't even know how happy I am to finally have a decent boba place in Cambridge! I feel like I've been waiting for this all my life.

Soft opening:

Their Boba Shack milk tea is super good! I got 50% sugar with no ice and it was perfect. It wasn't watery like some other places and I could taste the tea, which is great.

I got the brown sugar tapioca, which was a bit overcooked, but the inside was still chewy so it wasn’t terrible. My total came to $8 for a large, which is more on the expensive side, but I would say this is the best boba in Cambridge so far!

I’ve been going to this restaurant for a while now since they opened but unfortunately they falsely advertise promos and deals which is why I am writing this review.

I came to this restaurant Saturday night when I remembered I had received a text promo stating that I would receive 50% off my entire order.

When I went into the store, the lady at the front desk took my order and reassured me that my 50% promo was applied. After looking at the total, I was a bit shocked that my total was still pretty high. I asked again, and she reassured me again that I was applied.

After getting the receipt, I realized that they had only applied a $10 discount which was no where near the 50% off discount they were supposed to be apply. I spoke to what looked like the manager right after and when I complained he mentioned that the 50% off promo is limited to $10. This was not mentioned on the text advertising (which is considered false advertising) and the worker did not mention this before I paid.

After mentioning the text promo once again, the manager said “it’s not supposed to say that, it’s just an error”, and brushed it off like I didn’t just pay more than I was supposed to.

Overall, if you falsely advertise promotions for your business, you should honour the price to your customers as that is your mistake. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to others. Very poor...
