I was visiting my property in Kitchener from Markham with a friend and when I am returning, I planned to have dinner from a desi halal restaurant. I travel a lot and I love desi foods. Therefore , I always look for good food at a reasonable price. So, I google and found this restaurant on our way. When we arrived we were greeted by Surbhi and We ordered Shank Karachi and chapli kabob. The taste of the both dishes are great and portion are also good sizes. We both ate full and still the food left which we took with us as I don't want to through this good tasty food. The naans are different from others. They are very big in size and may be equal to 2 standard size naans and good thing these come free with the main dishes. The karak chai and Qehwa both are also awesome at the end of dinner. On top of the food , Surbhi services and hospitality are excellent. I got two months customer service training from a big US bank and from Costco and I give this girl 100 out of 100. She will make you feel that you are the real guest and will take care of you from the begining. She behaves like she was the owner by taking care of this business but I am not sure , she is or not. Anyway, owners are also the reason for bringing good chefs with the excellent customer service. We visited Khan Baba Peshawari in Cambridge on July 1, 2025, and it was absolutely worth the drive! Having been loyal customers of their Vaughan location, which sadly closed, we were thrilled to see the same warmth and flavor awaiting us at their Cambridge spot.
👤 Exceptional Service: Despite only one staff member being present when we arrived, the service was nothing short of superb. Every request was handled with care and a cheerful smile, which instantly set the tone for a lovely dining experience.
🍽️ Delicious & Generous Food: We’d pre-ordered Rosh, Beef Chapli Kabab, Lamb Shank Karahi, Chicken Charsi Karahi, and Tandoori Naans over the phone to save time. Everything was freshly made and served straight from the stove and oven to our table, piping hot and packed with flavor. As a delightful surprise, we were served Chicken Chapli Kababs complimentary!
🎉 Flavour Explosion: Each dish stood out with its own unique flavor profile, and every bite was a joy. The generous portion sizes and reasonable prices only made the experience more satisfying.
🍮 Sweet Finale: We wrapped up our meal with Kheer and Falooda, both of which were equally delicious and made for the perfect ending.

Read moreI wanted to share our recent experience with Khan Baba Peshawari Restaurant, and sadly, it has been incredibly disappointing. My family and I have been loyal customers for years, frequently dining in and ordering takeout. This restaurant was always a go-to for us because of its consistently delicious food and quality service.
Unfortunately, things have changed. Our last two takeout orders were far from what we’ve come to expect. We ordered their famous chapli kebabs, a dish we’ve always loved for its perfect blend of flavors, tender and juicy meat, and generously sized beef patties. But what we received was not even close to what it used to be. The patties were noticeably different—there was less meat and far too much fat and binding agent. The texture was chewy and rubbery, and the raw, fatty taste was completely off-putting. The flavor that once made this dish a favorite of ours is simply gone.
It’s disappointing to see such a drastic decline in quality, especially from a place we’ve supported and recommended to others over the years. With a heavy heart, we’ve decided not to return, as the experience no longer justifies the visit.
To the management: It’s clear that some changes have been made—possibly to cut costs—but compromising on quality has certainly cost you not just us as a loyal customer but possibly more.
