A&W Canada — Restaurant in Campbell River

Took my brother for a bite to eat at The Mercroft A&W! Boy the young lady at the till must've been deaf! Had to repeat 3 times! And she still didn't get it right! Anyways my brother had the grandpa Burger 🍔 3patties, no onion or pickle! Fries and a root beer, not happy with their drinks! Only comes in a regular size! And you have to pay for refills! I had the same Grandpa Burger, requested extra onion, extra sauce! Did they put on, forget that they did! As I said think she was deaf! Root beer 🍺 for the drink, & a order of fries! But requested a extra, she didn't even hear that! And a apple pie that was partially hot, to much sugar/cinnamon coating! And tasted like it had been sitting a hour! Thought by rotation it's only supposed to be 1.5 hours then thrown! Miss those good old days when things where done properly! Before I forget those burgers where so dry, could of used them for...

Just had quite the experience with the supervisor Matt. I went in with my friend who’s visiting from the states earlier this evening and when we first went to the counter he said asked us to hang on a minute so he could mock a lady on the drive through headset who another staff member was serving. Then my friend asked if they had something on the menu that she usually has at home and he instead of saying no, he proceeded to go on for probably a minute about how a&w in Canada has a healthy menu and everything was different and even stated that’s why everyone in the states is obese. He treated her like she was stupid for the rest of her order even after I had said something about his ignorance. It also seemed like he made all of the other staff members there uncomfortable as it was a very hostile environment. Hope his supervisor position is...

I've been coming to this A&W from time to time over the last four years. Every time I visit Campbell River, I always find myself coming here. And I always find the same reaction. The staff are very nice and friendly, and the place is very clean, even with all the customers they have coming in and out on the constant. Probably one of the best experiences I can remember is that I went in after trying my dog outside. She was still young and was visibly sad through the glass. One of the employees saw her, and offered me several doggy treats for the pooch. It was a great gesture and I've always appreciated it. They always seem to have doggy treats behind the counter so hopefully your dog can have one too.
