The quick and dirty is that I ordered a curry dish which looked super scrumptious, but upon the first bite I extracted a long black hair. I then found a second hair in my curry, and at this point the server asked about my meal. I then informed her about the hair dilemma, in which I was already embarrassed; she processed to pat me on the shoulder and tell me that I was fine with it. After being totally caught off guard by the server not offering to replace my spoiled food I decided not to eat it. A different waitress then cleared my plate and I informed her of why it was left untouched. She seemed sympathetic but when the bill came they merely took off $4.50 from the total and I still paid for the rest of my $17 meal which I had not touched. Unbelievable, the waitress mentioned that this was the best she could provide after chatting with her boss.
Very disappointed in their service, in the manner in which the incident was dealt with and with the management. A simple replacement of the food would have been most welcomed as that's all I wanted; and in lieu of that not paying for a meal that I did not eat because of their mistake.
I will not be recommending this restaurant to fellow colleagues following this incident, which is unfortunate as we do a tremendous amount of work in the area and...
Read moreEdit: Replying to the owner’s response. As for accusing us of ‘finishing’ our food, we don’t have a habit of counting the pieces of meat in our food before eating, as we have never had this experience before. Also, since it’s a restaurant and not a drive-thru, maybe you should consider hiring competent staff who can handle ‘many requests’/larger groups. We don’t walk into a ‘restaurant’ expecting a ‘discount’ for subpar food, but we do expect good service and food.
Had the chicken Pad Thai and a Mango juice. I didn’t find the Pad Thai to be authentic but it was good. Friends who accompanied me brought to their attention that they didn’t have enough meat in the items they ordered (they didn’t order Pad Thai). One of them even ordered extra meat. Giving them 1 star because of the way the staff handled the complaint. They were arrogant and didn’t bother to correct their mistake. We heard a long conversation among the staff. They spoke a different language so I couldn’t understand what they discussed, but they were definitely discussing us because they were looking in our direction. Reading the other reviews, this is not the first time diners have had poor...
Read moreI swear all these reviews are a targeted attack on this place haha I can’t believe them when the food here is just so good!
My family lives up island and when we come down for supplies/appointments we almost always eat here since the Thai is so excellent, way more stand out than some of the very generic tasting thai places in the area. Maybe some of the reviews are so low because people are used to cheap chain food? Who knows!
But for myself I have to recommend the curry, huge fan of the yellow curry and it always has lots of tofu in it when I order it. Plus the thai tea? Chef’s Kiss. Seriously though, it’s legitimately the best curry I’ve had anywhere on the island and honestly in general it’s up there for best curries I’ve had.
Also for all the snooty little boomers giving a bad review for “bad service”, the servers have always been super friendly and perfectly competent. I swear those reviews gotta be like…. Racist lol. They’re a family restaurant so they’ve got kids and stuff here, which as everyone knows means the food must be good haha! Literally normal nice service guys.
Regardless, check them out!!...
