Popsey's Restaurant — Restaurant in Campbell River

So I went there Friday for lunch usually popseys is really good.. never complained.... but this time it was awful 😕 😢 my friend ordered his dinner was great no complaints My pop was flat i had to wait 15 minutes for the waitress to come back ... the ketchup had gone bad ... I waited again ... finally I went up to the counter the older blond lady working was rude about it because I had squeezed it on to my fries what before trying the ketchup.. then when I went back she took my plate ... switches the ketchup on another table and was rude and said don't put it all over my fries 😒 like I did... the I waited for the original waitress to come back to check to see how our meal was.... nope.. I wanted a refill on my pop .. the glass sat at the edge of the table for another 20 min before I had to get up and find her to ask for another refill... after all that I paid my 40 $ bill and nothing was taken off.. I paid my full...

Stopped here early one morning last week as we were in town. Cute, cozy, country-feel place! We tried one of their many egg bennies; we tried the shrimp benny and the smoked salmon benny. Both were really fresh and delicious and the coffee and tea were pretty good. Two things we didn't like were: when the server asked us what we wanted as a side, she didn't tell us that the option for the loaded shredded potatoes was an extra charge, and we didn't find that out till we got our bill! It was $3 extra each! Also, the tea was $3.75 and the coffee was $2 something...I think that's a bit much for just one tea bag and some hot water...other than that, the server was really friendly and the service was fast. 😊 Also, they have a $5.99...

Love this place! Super friendly staff, great food, and relively cheap pricing. In the past, the food has been a little cold, and have had some burnt toast, but honestly, the foods still great tasting! Lovely log cabin setting, always a relaxing environment, and although the service can be a little slow during the rush, it's honestly not bad at all. Sure, if you don't like your food a little cold (on the off chance it IS cold, mind you), this might not be the place for you. And, should you be in a rush and can't afford to wait for service, this place also offers pre-made soups and sandwiches, so you can stop in, get your food, and leave in under 10 minutes. Totally would recommend this amazing place...
