I have always loved this place, and it became my go-to brunch place, but Iâve recently noticed some changes in the quality of the food, cocktails and service. My partner and I went for brunch- he ordered a pepperoni pizza and I ordered the huevos diablo, subbing mushroom for the sausage, as I donât eat meat. We were the only two covers in the place. After 30 minutes I saw his pizza at the pass... and then about 10 minutes later my breakfast. It then sat for almost 5 minutes. When it was finally carried to our table, his pizza was ice cold, and my eggs were missing. I pointed out the oversight and my meal disappeared. By the time my eggs were added to my now-cold meal, my partner had finished his pizza. I asked for my food to be warmed... at this point we have been here for ages, we are still the only two people, and Iâm beyond hangry. FINALLY my meal makes it to the table but I wasnât offered ketchup or hot sauce... so I followed my server back up to the counter, only to be told that if I wanted ketchup or hot sauce I needed to order it when my order was placed as they now charge for it! Are you kidding me?! Iâll need to pay for ketchup with my potatoes?! So I checked the menu, and no where does it say that there is a charge associate with such a request... so not sure whatâs going on... I mentioned it to the other person working there, and he said itâs going to be implemented soon on the new menus.
Youâve been warned... basic condiments are no longer provided.
In conclusion, I wonât be going back... when this place opened, my breakfast came with fingerling potatoes (yummmm!) and meals were cooked with care and delivered to the table quickly. I didnât mind the $15 price tag for something prepared with care, and unique to the area, but over time, the fingerlings have been replaced with chopped up Yukon golds, and now the service is terrible. Why am I still paying so much to sit and wait for an hour plus...? And the charge for ketchup or hot sauce? Thatâs appalling. Shame on...
Read moreCompletely rude staff. Ordered a canned beer and received the wrong one. I kindly said that this was not what we ordered, expecting it to be a quick and easy fix. The server (who may have been the manager?) brought back the correct beer and made a snide comment in a rude and petty voice: âthis is not the beer you orderedâ and walked away before we could even respond. I called the server back and began to explain to her what had happened, that she had become confused as I had asked what this beer was but it was not the beer that was ordered. Server continued to talk over me and be completely uncalled for. I have been a server for many years and this situation, even if we WERE wrong, should never have resulted like this. I have brought someone the wrong beer before and I apologized and brought them a new one, it always ends fine and the customers are happy! As I said, even if we were wrong, it should be a quick and easy âokay, weâll fix that for you!â Which I have also done as a server! I was completely shaken up because I was hoping for a nice dinner out and ended up completely anxious and confused about why we were being treated in this way. I also refrained from posting this as I did not want to leave a bad review for one bad experience, but I shared my experience over Facebook, refraining from any blaming in the situation and simply stating that I was disappointed with our experience, and was met with laughing emojis đ I am baffled at this establishments customer service and am leaving this here because this situation is completely ridiculous and laughable that the employees are so petty they canât even do their job correctly đđ for future reference, try to not act rudely to customers who have done...
Read moreI am so happy that Session is in our community. It is one of very few places locally where we can bring our entire family and every single one of us can find something on the menu that we not only enjoy, we love and look forward to going back for again! We are a family of five and have picky eaters, three of us have significant food allergies, and we have never, ever had a disappointing meal. The food is always fresh, creative, delicious, and the portions are beyond substantially filling. We constantly get drawn in by the ever changing options provided that we see on Instagram. As a Chef myself, I love knowing I can go there, have a 10/10 experience every single time, and I don't have to eat for the remainder of the day. The service staff and Chef's are super friendly and accommodating too! The atmosphere is casual but comfortable, unpretentious, the place is squeaky clean, cozy and an added bonus is that for a small space it isn't noisy! I love this place, and my family does too. If you get the opportunity to try the Ramen do it, and ask for a little extra spice if you like some heat. Pizzas are incredible and leftovers reheat nicely if you cannot finish, do get a dip, the truffle one is so over the top good. And nachos, they are crispy and tasty and unlike the soggy boring pub style, these ones are a treat to indulge in and every chip is covered in goodness, and if you cannot finish them and have to take them home, they remain crispy for hours. Don't even get me started on the skillet meatballs, whatever type they are currently offering is a mandatory selection for the table to...
