HAIR IN MY SALAD!!!! We dropped by for dinner last night, April 4, 2022. I ordered the steak and salad with baked potato and vegetables. I took my first bite of the salad and realized that I had this long (about 8-10 inches, perhaps blond) hair hanging from my mouth. Now the little hair that I have left is short and grey so it wasn't mine! I was disgusted!!!! I called the waitress over who was also surprised and asked me if I wanted another soup or salad and I declined. At this point I was thinking Not Bloody Likely but I chose to be polite about it. Then the steak came and the vegetables had the life boiled out of them. Completely bland with no flavor. The steak was "ok" but undercooked. Nevertheless, the meal was edible and I managed to eat the cooked veggies after applying A LOT of pepper. As for the hair, a classy or decent restaurant would have had the manager come over to apologize and knock a few bucks off the meal just for goodwill. That didn't happen! When we paid our bill at the front we were asked how the meal was. I said "fair" expecting the girl to ask "what was wrong?" or "what could we have done better?". That didn't happen! She didn't comment or even look up at us. Needless to say no tip was rendered! My suggestion for this restaurant is to change the name to "Throw Away Restaurant" because when you end up with hair in your food the staff need to "make it right". Well Throw Away Restaurant.....you not only lost us as customers, we will tell all our friends this story and suggest that they stay away. And please, we don't want to hear the standard manager/owner reply to this review!!!! You had your chance and your...
Read moreThis was my 1st visit here. The people were nice but when I put my hand up for someone they turned away and continued to talk about the cottage. So after having my hand up for a few minutes I just gave up, also the waitress was about to leave for a half an hour so, I just waited. they gave me 1 slice of garlic bread for a 18 dollar spaghetti meal. the picture on the menu showed alot of beef so that's why I chose it, but I had to really move the meal around to find 3 or 4 little tiny pieces of what looked like meat in a menu item that showed a ton on hamburger on it and said meat sauce, I got a tomato sauce with cinnamon and nutmeg in it, didn't taste good. nutmeg usually goes in a apple pie, so I couldn't even eat half of it and when I tried to tell the clerk when I paid she ignored what I said and charged me 29 dollars for a 5 dollar plate of spaghetti with tomatoe sauce and a dash of meat on it. I think I tasted vinegar as well but anyway, I tried to eat it. I was charged 5 dollars for a few more slices of garlic toast cause 1 tiny piece didn't seem enough. anyway folks I feel I lost 20 dollars here, wasn't worth the food at all, it was a 10 dollar meal. the inside was clean and nice but I am afraid to try any other food really. if u r looking for mostly tomato sauce, with cinnamon and nutmeg in it, then it might be for u. cinnamon is very healthy it's true but doesn't taste so good on spaghetti sauce. it ruined my appetite really. I would say it was a honest...
Read moreI picked up a take out turkey dinner which was very good…the pie piece was so tiny if they made smaller it would be pencil size. A small container of cranberry came with(about a teaspoon and a half) so I asked for extra. The lovely gal at the front cash went to get more then was followed by a lady wearing glasses dark hair , possibly manager or owner who proceeded to the cash to tell me that it would be an extra $1:50 for the 2 tiny extra cranberry. I said no thanks and she then, in a rude manner put one on top of my order saying, “ we’ll put that there” …no thanks , your interaction with me as a customer was rude and I won’t be back. I’ve been several times to your restaurant and often with a group and leave a great tip as the waitresses are usually good, the food average, the tea is tasteless and usually served in luke warm water. As a manager or owner you should strive to please your customers not overcharge for a tiny condiment that will probably end up not getting used. Also you lead by example and create an atmosphere by the way you treat and interact with your clientele. I do wish the young gal at the cash all the best as she was polite, trying her best to help and wished a Happy...
