I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at the Wendy's location in Carleton Place on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, around 5:25 PM. As part of a YouTube challenge, we were looking to place a large order of approximately 100 burgers, which we intended to distribute for free to those in need, including homeless individuals who cannot afford to eat. We were fully prepared to pay for the order and were excited to support the business while giving back to the community.
However, the manager on duty was unprofessional and rude throughout the interaction. Despite our willingness to proceed with the order, she repeatedly hung up on me and showed a complete lack of courtesy. Her demeanor escalated to the point where she threatened to involve the police, which was both alarming and unnecessary.
In contrast, when we reached out to other Wendy's locations, they were more than happy to accommodate our request, demonstrating a willingness to serve customers that this particular location clearly lacked.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as customer service should be a top priority. Unfortunately, this experience has left a negative impression of the Carleton Place Wendy's, and I would caution others about the treatment they might...
Read moreEvery time I’ve tried to visit this location the kiosk for self order is not working for payment yet allows us to punch in full family meals then won’t accept payment. Never any sign indicating this does not work. Then have to cancel the order and go to the counter to wait for an unpleasant staff member to repunch in my entire order. I say unpleasant because there is no such thing as a smile or simple pleasantry let alone any sort of apology, solution or even sense of give a care when explaining the kiosk situation. The level of attitude and blatant disregard for hospitality has been shown 3 in a row too many visits. This time I had enough and walked out asking to simply forget my order and calmly took business elsewhere. I will not be returning to this location. There are plenty of other restaurants that value my business. I’m not asking for much other than to disregard the attitude and self entitlement. Our excitement ended after our first three trips with a rather long wait in the drive ended up with incorrect orders, we did not know they were incorrect until we opened the bag at home. The food looked like it had been slapped together and portions were smaller than what we had been used to at other locations.
Given our distance... it was not like we could go back, so then we decided to do an online order....... bad idea....Lets give it another chance after they have been open for several weeks. My husband took the drive and when he got there they did not have the order ready nor did they have it in their system ...but my credit card was charged so that part was right.
