So I usually go to this McDonald’s as a quick pit-stop when taking the 103 Kingsway RAH/Eaux Claires ETS bus. Recently, I was ordering my normal go-to meal; a McDouble burger, poutine as my fries, and iced tea. I was going to check out until I noticed something on the screen that I’ve never noticed: Customizing the toppings on the burger. And so I decided to remove the pickles (I hate pickles), have light onions on my McDouble, and extra ketchup on the burger. Keep that in mind because it’ll be important soon. As soon as I got my order, I first gobbled down the poutine. Scrumptious as always, having that signature blandness taste of the fries covered by the sweetness of the sauce. Once I finished, I went for my McDouble. At first thought, when I asked for extra ketchup, they would just lightly add a few squirts or two to the burger. To my surprise, as I unravel the plastic wrapping of the McDouble I am met with the greasiest most disgusting burger I have witnessed. It was disgusting, but at the same time majestic. The “extra” ketchup filled the burger to the point where it was oozing. The ketchup covered like 65% of the burger, forcing me to eat it with the wrapper on instead of taking the burger out of the wrapper. This restaurant never fails to astonish me with small subtle things like this. Sure the burger was egregious, but the employees really put the “extra” in the ketchup. I rate this restaurant a 4 out...
Read moreI just had the WORST customer service experience I have ever had at a fast food restaurant!
I ordered a medium chai tea frappe and the Thai chili junior chicken from the drive thru. After I pulled over, I go to eat the burger and realize it has cheese and a hamburger patty on it. I don’t eat red meat as a personal preference, so as soon as I unwrap the burger and notice the error, I returned to the drive thru. I explained the error and requested the Thai chili chicken burger I ordered. I’m told to pull up to the last window and am handed another burger. I pull over and check the burger, only to realize the EXACT SAME MISTAKE was made AGAIN. I pulled back into the drive thru explained what happened AGAIN. When I got to the second window, instead of getting any form of apology I’m met with “The last burger I gave you was right”. At which point, I gave her back both untouched burgers with beef patties inside them. I finally got the correct 2 item order after having to go through the drive thru 3 times. I probably would have asked to speak to a manager but I had my one year old and dog in the vehicle and was about to meet up with a friend and...
Read moreThis location is one of the worst that I have come across in Edmonton. Let first start with the fact that every time that I go through drive-through they are always in a hurry to park you and when I do get my food it’s either sub par or something is missing from my order and I have to go in and ask for the missing item. The second things is because I always get parked I decided to start going inside to place my order and you may as well forget doing that from the time you place the order at the kiosk to when I normally get my food is any where between 15 to 20 minutes, there priority is get all the online orders filled first then the drive through and then when all that is caught up then and only then will they start working on the inside orders and be careful as they will rush and still forget things from your order. Forget asking for anything extra like McChicken sauce or dipping sauce staff will give you a look like you asking for the world. I will caution any body going to this location to triple check your food before leaving or better yet avoid it and safe yourself...
