The Bombi Restaurant — Restaurant in Castlegar

I have to say I've had my worst experience coming into your restaurant today. I've been there several times and been greeted by. Really nice. Ladies, that are waitressing there to day. I've had the pleasant experience of dealing with the owner. I have to say it was the worst connection I've ever had in my life. First of all, she comes to the table throws down 2 menus with the fork and knife on top of them. Then she comes back to the table. Basically telling me that what I should order off her menu. Then she comes back about 7 minutes later to take my daughter's order and I stated to her. I must say it's worst experience I've ever had and she goes behind by myself so that gives you a right to mistreat people. I felt like I was in war camp or a concentration camp. She was the most abrupt person I've ever been with in my presence I Said I was going to call the manager she goes. I am the manager well if that's what manages that restaurant I have to say. I will never return. I'm gonna spend $50 in someone's pocket. That can't even give me the time a day nor a smile. I felt like my money meant nothing to her. Nor me as a person in general. I'm a 61 year old woman, and I've never been spoken to that affected my life. And I sure I'm not going to tolerate it from someone that runs a restaurant. I would consider sharing this with other people because it was a worst experience. I wish i'd never walked through the door. But I'm not going to let it affect my day. I will put my smile back on my face. As I walked down the street to the restaurant. Just passed there and what a gracious greeting. I got from the gentleman that was in the restaurant. It made up for my experience at this restaurant. I would definitely consider sharing. With others to come to the Monte Carlo restaurant. The people there were fantastic and the food is...

Went here the other night. Was unimpressed!! Not only 1 meal was bad but all 3 were. At least the water was good and cold. Service is okay.. was good until we got food. They dropped food off and didn't come back until we were done, hid in the back so was unable to ask for them to fix their errors.

Ordered a steak sandwich, asked for mushrooms and onions on top with fries... When I got the plate the plate was massive and amount of food was little. Steak was rubbery and dry, the butterknife they gave me struggled to make a dent in It. Did not come with the fries I asked for, or the mushrooms and onions. They also gave me mashed potatoes with gravy on top, even though I never asked for, or mentioned getting gravy.. it took a while to get and was to hungry to send back (and normally I don't mind mashed potatoes anyway!) Chuncky red skin mashed potatoes, nothing amazing.. nothing gross. But a meal I feel like I should of paid 11$ for tops, not 20.

Hubby got salmon, comes with potatoes and roasted vegetables. Vegetables were just red and yellow peppers. Salmon was okay, but would not get again for the price. Getting a handful of peppers as the vegetables was also disappointing.

FIL got Salisbury steak /comes with same potatoes and peppers. Salisbury in a frozen-meal from Safeway you can buy taste better then this 20$ meal.

I've had many people tell me breakfast is good, so one day I may go back to try that but unlikely I'll ever go back. Can get a better meal...

I could not leave Castlegar without sending a huge shout out to the Breakfast staff at Bombi. We were in town for a conference and we slammed them each morning. Its a small town eatery BUT that being said they are incredibly thoughtful from the service to the food and to sending you on your way.... Ray and Larissa in the kitchen: PHENOMINAL. The quality of the food and the way its thoughtfully prepared. Everything was simply delicious. I had the Castlegar on my first morning and that was delish BUT on day 2 I had the Scramble with Bacon, Tomato and Green onion with a side of Hollandaise! TO DIE FOR! Our table of 6 LOVED this please. I wish I knew more staff members names.... We will miss you all! Keep up the...
