HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I don't hand out 5-stars easily, so this is a genuine "Five Star" recommendation. Visited one evening after a day in Cavendish based on other Google reviews. Expectations were heightened given self-marketing as "Best Lobster Rolls in PEI" -- they did not disappoint. We had take-out: I had the garlic aioli lobster roll with potato salad and coleslaw. My wife had the Lobster Club with same sides. Some of the best seafood we have ever had. If we just had the potato salad and coleslaw, it would have earned a 5 : ) Lobster portions were generous and toast on bun was perfect. Prices were fair for Cavendish and post-Covid. Service was fast and friendly. My kids (aged 10-16) had a sit-in supper with their grandparents and had a similar experience. My daughter described their chicken burger as the "best she ever had". Meals were in the $20-35 range. Mother-in-law has gluten intolerance and was able to have an excellent meal with no issues (i.e., their "gluten-free" options are actually tasty). An excellent alternative to some of the more touristy places like Fisherman's Wharf that have become too pricey for larger families...
Read moreIsland Favorites - A Seafood Lover's Paradise Island Favorites truly lives up to its name! Our lunch was an absolute delight from start to finish. The mussels were incredible - the broth was so flavorful, I could have happily drank it all up. The lobster roll was next level; the perfect combination of buttery toast, fresh lobster, and a delicious aioli. The potato salad and coleslaw were equally impressive, offering classic sides with a fresh twist. My wife raved about the fish and chips, saying the batter was crispy and the fish perfectly cooked. The seasoned fries were a fantastic accompaniment. If you're looking for amazing seafood on the island, this is your spot!
Big thank you to Stacy for being such a wonderful waitress. Friendly, cheerful, and attentive.
PS. I couldn't even wait to try the potato salad before I took...
Read moreThis restaurant is sooo great! Although we showed up 20 minutes before closing and they were very busy, they were super friendly and were able to get us our take out order, with the lobster rolls that we were dreaming about, in no time. All of our food was amazing (we had the butter lobster rolls with fries and coleslaw and a 2 piece order of fish and chips)! My family agreed that the fries were probably the best we’ve ever had! Prices were great and the size of the meals was very generous. Overall, if I am ever back in Cavendish, I would skip eating at Avonlea Village and come to Island Favorites instead. The value for the money is way better and the service was so great! Sounds like it is a small, family run business and you can tell that they appreciate their customers. Thank you for a...
