I am extremely disappointed in the service I received at this establishment. The first time I visited I was greeted with an extremely cold and rude energy from the owner. She was not kind and treated me as if I was a nuisance. I went back again today, giving her the benefit of the doubt and wanting to give them another chance because I enjoyed their coffee. However, I was met again with the same terrible costumer service. The girl working the cash was grumpy and seemed annoyed with having to take my order. Once given my drink, I asked that she add a little more oat milk because it was very low from the top of my cup and I paid $6.50 for this latte. The owner acted as if I was asking for an extremely tall order. I can't believe how rude she was to me. When I left, she did not say goodbye or to even have a nice day. I was not greeted with kindness when I arrived and when I left it was like she couldn't wait to get rid of me. I am truly shocked at how the staff and owner have treated me when I have gone to this coffee shop. I am a Port Stanley local and I will never give Harbour Merchant my business ever again. The art of customer service has been lost on them and in turn, they have...
Read moreI feel compelled to express my disappointment in the cold and unfriendly vibe at this cafe under its new ownership. I really want to support them as a small business, but paying Big City prices for a latte and then being treated as if I don't exist just doesn't make any sense to me. There are other nearby options available where the customer is warmly welcomed and made to feel appreciated. I will go there instead.
To follow up and to correct the misinformation noted in your response:
There is no reference to any mask policy in my review. Your accusation is untrue, derogatory, and unprofessional, as I have not ordered from within the cafe since it reopened under new management. My travel cup is precisely 16 ounces in size, the same size you say you serve. It is not oversized as you claim. I simply asked for "a splash" more milk. There was no complaint, nor was there any use of the term "short-changed." It was a request only. You charge $7.50 for a latte that contains 11 ounces of milk. That is overpriced in any market -- the most expensive latte for its size anywhere locally.

Read moreLooked like a cute shop from the outside which lured us in. It definitely has a comfortable feeling the way its decorated also offers a mini dessert section that I'll have to try when I come back to Port Stanley because they looked delicious. What I was disappointed in was the service, we interacted with 3 ladies and all 3 were not very friendly strange for a local coffee shop as I've only encountered friendliness in small businesses. Their faces were impossible to crack a smile which made us a little sad, maybe they're super focused 🤷🏻♀️ A little pricey but we were on vacation I guess it's expected from tourist areas and the covid effect. I do wish this cafe well and I will come back to try dessert sometime in the future 😉
