The hours are good, especially for being located in a small town! I like that they have an area where you need to present I. D before entering on the left. Or a family friendly area to eat on the right. The cleanliness of the place was a little iffy. The floor had food on it in a couple different spots. A long pickle slice someone had stepped in and a smooshed grape etc. Napkins that it looked like someone had just swept in the corner. The food came quickly! There it wasn't overly crowded. We ate a little after 8pm. Most of the people in the restaurant/ bar were mostly there drinking a beer, so perhaps why food service was so quick. The menu is okay. The person I went with ordered a steak sandwitch and the steak looked cooked beautifully, although he seemed surprised there was not a piece of toast or bun or anything on top of the sandwitch. It was more open faced style but it didn't say that on the menu. It had to be eaten with fork and knife instead of with hands. I got the veggie tacos which werent as favourable as I would have liked. The yam fries in the bottom, although a nice attempt, would have been better baked instead of deep fried to give it a fresher taste. The avocado was perfect though! I'm glad I got salsa on the side with it because I'm vegan I couldn't have the sauce that it came with so it was a little bland if I hadn't of had the salsa. Decent prices. It was $42 for everything although we didn't get any appetizers or drinks besides water. Their alcohol menu looked really good with a large selection! While the food was decent, I'd probably go here more so if wanting a boozy beverage and a light snack, than if I was hungry for a meal. The 19+ area looked like it had good atmosphere for drinking with a friend or group.

Edit: Have been back twice since original review. While I think that the service and food are both inconsistent, especially if you come with a group, they have all the makings of a great place. Here's hoping that they get the issues sorted! We were really excited to try this place out as it's under new ownership. Went in with big expectations and it was just ok. It was fairly quiet on a Saturday evening which I found surprising. First off, I just want to mention that our server, Mimi, was fantastic. She was friendly and really helpful. The menu had what looked like a lot of choices but we were underwhelmed by the food. I had a pulled pork sandwich with onion rings and a beer. The pulled pork sandwich was fairly dry and flavorless. I asked for a side of bbq sauce and that helped a lot. They should consider just putting it on the sandwich as it comes. The onion rings seemed really dark as though they had been overcooked and were really tough, not crispy. I also got a couple that had the stringy outer skin of the onion rather than an actual piece of onion. My wife had steak and prawns and said that it was decidedly average. We tried to order dessert and were told that their brownie only comes with berry flavored ice cream. Who wants berry ice cream with a brownie? Where's the vanilla? Anywho - we may give it another shot. They're still fairly new and we're hoping that they're just working out the kinks and this isn't going to be a typical experience.

4 stars out of 5. Had the pulled pork sandwich. It was good - quite good. The pork was good, not shredded very fine, rather chunky. The bun was very good - from Portofino Bakery. The slaw was sparse - could hardly notice or taste it. The fried onions were merely an after thought - almost non-existent. All that said, i did enjoy the sandwich - i was hungry. Fries were good, very generic. They have a nice large selection of beer to choose from. Lots of TV screens and large projections throughout the pub. Got to see the Wpg Jets smoke the Blackhawks - that was awesome. All in all, Brewskys is good - but not worth 5 stars.

If I could rate a place 0, it would be this place.

We came in at 6pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was very busy. We were greeted when we arrived and told to seat ourselves. We squish into a booth and it took 10 minutes before a server asked for our drink orders. Half an hour later two tables who had arrived after us already had their beer, but we were still waiting. We ordered food as soon as our beer arrived, but it was 7:30 before our food made it to the table. The restaurant had cleared out by this time. At least four tables who had arrived after us were served, ate, and left before we even had food. Our group was 4, a 6-top arrived half an our after us and had their food before we did.

I understand things can be slow at a busy restaurant, especially when the crowds are unexpected. But it was clear that our server was avoiding our table and forgot to punch in our food order for quite some time.

Our server took 20% off of our final bill, which was appreciated. I won't be going back however, and neither will any of the others I was with.

As far as food quality goes, our table had a beef dip and the person who ordered it said it was good. I ate the southwest salad, which wasn't anything special for $16. The halibut was very thin and dry. The burger was thinking...
