Villages Pizza — Restaurant in Central Saanich

We have used this local pizza place for many years -- they have changed names a time or two but I think it is the same ownership. Generally we have found the pizza to be pretty good... fresh, hot, on time and decent ingredients. The staff we have dealt with have always been friendly and responsive. For a small community I could consider it a reliable source of decent pizza. Glad they have added some Greek items to the menu and if they worked on the quality of those items to bring it up to Maria's Souvlaki or former Eugene's it would be a great addition to the take out opportunities in our village.. I would happily pay a bit more for a really GOOD Greek Salad made with ingredients that didn't seem like they were destined for a pizza but went into a salad instead - chunks of feta, ripe tomatoes, whole olives,...

I’ve had pizza from here a number of times with mixed results. Tonight, it was gross.

I’ll start with the good, the delivery guy was on time and friendly.

The pizzas came luke warm.

The cheese pizza had almost no cheese in places, and a big black hair on it.

The BBQ Ranch was so loaded with liquid that it saturated the box and the cardboard was stuck to the bottom of the pie.

I expect a lot better...

We were impressed by the Classic Italian. Thin crust & plentiful ingredients baked crisp but nicely chewy. The Maui Waui had mixed reviews due to personal tastes liking/disliking the teriyaki sauce. Might order it with a different sauce next time. Keep in mind this is a small fast-food pizza joint, not a high-end Italian pizzeria (as some other reviewer's expectations may be). Definitely will...
