Sugar Skulls Ice Cream Elora — Restaurant in Centre Wellington

Little gem of an ice cream parlor. The ice cream flavors were great. The servers were teens. They were not interactive with the other customers or with myself when ordering, no greeting, no asking 'how is your day' kind of hospitality. It was the end of the day, so their demeanor was low.

Inside the esthetics was beautiful. There is an outside patio. When I went there with my family, all the tables were dirty and some chairs covered with creamcream and waffle crumbs. The place was not at all busy. There was us as a family of four and a lady with her grandchild. There were four serves inside...

The palor does have music at the outside patio. Speakers' sound was distorted and volume up to full blast that no one could enjoy a conversation outside.

I do recommend stopping here and trying the ice cream. There is a large variety of flavors to choose from they do have a list of flavor mixing and which ones are best to pair with. Their waffle cone is the best I have had I years.

Will be passing through Elora for business. I will give this ice cream parlor another...

My other half, big lover of icecream and shakes found this place as we were visiting Elora after being featured in The Amazing race Canada and dragged me up the hill to this gorgeous house with a side entrance where the shop is located: simply amazing owner and young guy who explained to me how they make their shakes (basically mixing any of their several dozens of flavours with vanilla ice cream) and we were salivating not sure what to chose my other half settled for a licorice shake while I wanted to try any of their flavours you cannot find anywhere else: kahlua or baileys etc. Turned out the flavour was not strong enough and they kindly made me a bubble gum shake which again was nothing as great as the licorice shake so decided not to ask them for a replacement as they have been kind enough.... however disappointed I was for not finishing my shake. Wow - there are a lot of options packed in this little ice cream shop! The decor is vibrant and adds to the authenticity.

They have a lot of chairs outside, and if they’re free, you can even also swing while enjoying your treat!

It might take you a minute to figure out the menu, there are a lot options to consider. We had to ask the lady at the cash register how it all worked and we weren’t the only ones wondering that evening.

We had a vanilla cone with Maraschino cherries and I tried the chocolate ice cream with Skor and Smarties pieces. The candy is dusted on top and not mixed in like other ice cream places might do.
